'What about the others?'
'Of course.'
I went to his father's cage. "It is about time."
"Ladies first." His father moved away from the door. "Of course."
I brought the poor lady out. She looked ill. "Are you all right?"
"I am now." She flew off my arm and into her husband's arms.
The man that was in with Shaun's mother, Marisa, was not looking good either. He was laying on the bottom of the cage. I opened the door quickly and brought him out. He had just collapsed.
"Is Scott here?" I asked in general.
"Yes Kylie. I will go get him." Walter said as he ran off. The man's wife grabbed a blanket and covered him.
"Are you able to shift, Love?" He looked up at her, shifted. He had a huge grin.
"I missed you." They hugged.
"What about us?" Marisa and Crispin said from their cages. I did not say anything. Shaun walked over to the cages and tapped the doors closed.
"Why did you do that?" Crispin asked his son.
"Seeing that Kylie is the only one who can touch the cages. I think I am not going to let her help you out."
"But why?"
"If I have to tell you then you were not sincere when you left here the last time."
"Yes I understand Shaun. We were not very nice to her." I watched the two other people that were caged with them enjoying their reunion with their mates. I went and stood beside Paddy. I held his hand tightly. He went for a hug instead.
Scott came onto the square and checked out the shifters to make sure they were all right.
The Council emerged from their chamber.
"Shaun, what has happened to have so many in the square?" Councilman Klaus asked.
"We have rescued some shifters and animals, Sir." Councilman Klaus noticed Colleen's parents. "Lizzy and Liam. It is a pleasure to see you again."
They bowed to the Councilman. "Thank you Sir. It is definitely a pleasure to see you too."
"Who are your companions?" The Councilman pointed to the three other couples.
"This Fredya and Sven Bjorn. Elders from the Norwegian Clan." They bowed to the Council.
"This is Oksana and Igor Borsch. Elders from the Russian Clan." They also bowed to the Council.
"This Barney and Wilma Vail. Elders from the African Nation Clan." They bowed.
"And I am sure you have met Crispin and Marisa Riley from the Northern Ireland clan."
"Yes. We have." He looked with concern at Shaun. Shaun nodded. He signed. 'I will explain later Sir.' Councilman Klaus nodded.
"Please enjoy your stay. It is not very often that we have Elders from five different clans here."
The Council turned and went back into their chamber. The rest of us checked out the rest of the caged animals. We wanted to make sure there was no more shifters. I would touch the cages. I knew if they were protected or not. The last cage I touched made my hand tingled. I opened it then reached in to help the animal out.
"Why are you helping Caleb and not us?" Crispin said from his cage. I stopped. Shaun was beside me in a blink of an eye. He touched the cage gingerly and closed the door.
