It was finally the day. You met up with the rest of the class in a waiting room, away from the crowds.
You sat in the corner as people poured in. Mina and tsu sat at the table. You were wearing the gym uniform. A lot better than the skirt on the normal uniform.
Iida ran in. "Everyone, get your game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!"
Everyone's attention went to Shoto Todoroki. "Midoriya. From an objective-standpoint, I think it's fairly clear I'm stronger than you. However, you've got all might in your corner, helping you out. I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you."
"What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Kaminari commented.
Kirishima got up and put a hand on Todoroki's shoulder. "Yeah, what's the big deal? Why are you pickin' a fight all of a sudden? And right before we get started."
Todoroki shoved his hand away. "We're not here to be each others friends. Don't forget this isn't a team effort."
As he walked away, you got up. "You stop it right there." You spat. Walking up to him and grabbing his shirt collar. You then whisper scolded him. "If you don't quit it, I will send your ass to Neptune. Maybe a fire quirk user like you and your, father, will cool it."
You let go. "Says the bird brain who's brother is still bellow him." He kept walking.
Your blood boiled. "Fire quirk." You spat. He is just like his father. Cold hearted despite the fire of his quirk. Endevour doesn't care who he hurts if it means he's number 1.
The memory of when you lost your flock played in your mind. You were around 9, and had created a small flock of birds as your own, housed in an abandoned building. Endevour was chasing a villain who hid in there. You were near by hunting a rabbit when you saw it. Your hide away. Your flock. Your friends. Gone up in flames.
Only one survived. He was a hatchling. You named him; ikino kotita. Or survivor. Ikino was a small Dracula parrot at the time. He was imported illegally and now lives with you.
Out in the arena, in the present. You all walked out. Your sharp eyes landed in a box with your brother in it. If you were gonna look like him, might as well put on a show like him.
You flew above the group of students and put on a big smile. Spinning in the air, and a loose barrel roll, before landing with Mina and tsu.
"Someone likes the attention." Mina giggled.
"What? I can't have fun?" You smirked.
"Interesting how quick you went from;" Mina mimicked you. "Fire quirk. To;" she waved her hands in the air and copied your smile.
"Well, the crowed is like an escape. Sure your trapped in it, but you get to see smiling faces and get to show off." You stated.
"I think kirishima liked the show too." Mina observed with a smug look. Your blushing was now out of control.
Present mic was talking up the classes.
All the classes gathered around a stage with midnight. You tried to compose yourself. "Silence everyone! And for the student pledge we have, KATSUKI BAKUGO!"
Bakugo stepped to the mic. You sharpened one of your feathers. "I just wanna say; I'm gonna win."
"And I'm gonna KILL him!" You growled. "We don't need the other classes hating us more!"
Booing erupted from the crowed.
Midnight silenced the crowed and a screen appeared behind her. It sun for a while before landing on obstacle race. Everyone had free reign to use their quirks as much as they want, as long as they stay in the course.
The students all took their places in front of the starting line. The green lights slowly all went out.
As soon as it stopped you flew over the crowed and managed to get a good way in front. Just a few people ahead of you. Todoroki had frozen the students on the ground. Bakugo, Yaoyorozu, kirishima, and aoyama got free and were just ahead. You spread up to match their pace. Bakugo went after Todoroki.
A large robot appeared. They were from the regular entrance exam. A bunch blocked the path.
Todoroki started using his ice. "They obviously went through a lot of trouble, but I'd wish they'd prepared something a little more difficult. Especially since my dear-old dad is watching."
A large ice attack froze most of the robots. You just went in with most of your feathers stiffened and 2 acting as swords. "Your not the only one with a pro watching, you little shit!"
You cut through the center of one, causing it to fall into others and a chain reaction forming. You flew next to the cold flame boy.
You tried to get him off balance. He just froze the tip of one of your wings. You fell to the ground, some of your stiffened feathers didn't soften in time and cut through some skin. You let out a shriek, before getting and and wiping some blood from your face.
You amplified your speed, and got your place back. Even managing to get further ahead, by a small amount.
You heard behind you, someone was stuck under one of the robots. It was kirishima, and a class 1-b student, tesutseu. Present mic gave them the same speech. Matches their same quirks. Kirishima was hardening, able to turn any part of his body hard as rock. Tesutesu's was steel, able to turn any part of his body hard as steel.
The next obstacle was a bunch of pillars made of rock, connected by wires. If you didn't have a flying quirk this one would be a lot more challenging.
With Todoroki on the ground, bakugo was now the obstacle for the air. While you still kept close to the ground, he was higher in the sky. Preferring to stay close to the ground was a big challenge.
You just boosted your speed the best you could. You taunted the fire and ice boy for a big. You ran backwards, keeping your speed, while he ran.
"A little slow there? Where's that fire? Where's that win you said you'd get? You said you'd beat midoriya? What about making your father proud and getting first? Show me what you can fucking do!" You had a smug smile, before turning around and flying more.
When you looked down you saw a mine field. Bakugo was closer than ever to the first place. His explosions setting off the bombs. You did a barrel roll like at the beginning, this time spreading your wings out enough. It set off a fair amount at a time.
It didn't do anything. Bakugo had made his way in front of Todoroki and was now head to head with both you and the fire and ice user.
Although, it didn't last long. There was a large explosion from the back, sending you to the ground. You hit a mine. Some of the debris got into your cuts. You tried to get up. Midoriya appeared to be the cause of the crash. A few of the students got in front of you.
A hiss of pain released from your throat. None the less, you spread your wings and sent a large wave of air behind you. Trying to catch up. You made it in 4th place.
You fell, crashing into the dirt as you made it through the tunnel and into the stadium.
Instead of addressing the pain you sat up and threw your hands in the air. You did it! You made 4th and finished!
You could hear keigos voice through one of your feathers. "Hard to see you scrapped but, but like sister like brother. Good job, feather."
"I FUCKING DID IT YOU FEATHERY SHIT! HAHAHHA!" You gave a playful glare to the box, housing your brother.
You could hear his laughing sigh.
"Why are you so happy? You got 4th?" Bakugo grunted.
You wiped away some blood. "Because, I got 4th. You aim for the very top. I just aim to spite! He said I wouldn't get high in rank in this thing. But I aim to spite!"
You shouted as you fell back down to the ground. "But he was right I'd get hurt."
