My parents were by my side when I felt someone touch my arm, causing me to flinch and sit up swiftly. As I glanced up to meet their gaze, tears started to abruptly fall down my cheeks.
"Mom...dad..." They sprung at me with great speed, gripped me tightly for what felt like hours, and then there was a tap on the door. Nny was standing at the entrance as we turned to look at him, and he appeared to be making an effort to look respectable.

Oh no...i haven't introduced Nny yet!
I turned to my dads face to see that he wasn't bothered by Nny and to my mother to see her eye sparkled with joy. "Well hello there! Are you here for y/n?" as my mother gestured for him to come into the room.
From what I could see Nny was nervous but he strolled to my parents and shook their hand while saying "Hello! You must be y/n's parents, you guys are very lovely and I do sincerely apologize for meeting you at a time like this." My mom blushed with enthusiasm and smiled at my father, my father shook his hand and slowly maintained the tall figure he has and Nny smiled at his handshake then turned to me and gave me a soft gentle hug.
I held onto him as tight as I could, "Nny.." I whispered, he began stroking my hair then slowly pulled away to tuck my hair behind my ear and he kissed my forehead and immediately I blushed.
I heard my father cough, I forgot they were there and I embarrassedly pushed him away and my parents got up and made sure that they were gonna get some food and gently closed the door behind them and I turned to Nny sitting on my right side holding my hand so gently.
"Why am I at the hospital? I'm not injured or anything-"I felt a sting of pain in the lower part of my back, I gritted my teeth as the pain struck me. Nny sighs and holds my hand with a bit more grip, "Do you remember what happened that night?" I looked around to examine the room, "Not very well.."
Nny kisses my hand and quivered "That guy almost raped you y/n, they wanted to make sure that you haven't gotten pregnant or contracted any diesases from you know..." i felt my stomach dropped when he mention the part the guy almost doing that to me, and muttered "Did they caught the guy?" Nny lifted my chin to meet his eyes
"Yeah they did, the authorities will soon come in and question you and I need you to not mention that i got involved... 'kay?" he whispered.
"Then what am I supposed to tell them?" Nny released his hand from cupping my face, then stood up and leaned in for a kiss before whispering "When they ask you what happened, tell them that you used the switchblade I gave you to protect yourself before he would go any further and tell them that you blacked out."
My body shivered when he began to whisper in my ear about changing how things were originally, then he leaned into his chair refixing his shirt before taking the wrapper of the flowers off and rearranging them into a clear vase. I've noticed that he isn't wearing his usual trench coat and dark clothes but just a gray shirt, black pants and some red sneakers.
"Have you noticed my outfit? Heh, I know it's pretty weird for me too."He fixed his hair so it wouldn't be messy, and I could feel my face burning up. Soon my parents opened the door with food then closed the door behind them, then gave Nny a container then handed me a container before seating themselves.
My father turned on the t.v. and scrolled through each channel before settling on the news. I turned to Nny to ask him if he had my phone and he nodded, then set his food down and reached in my bag to hand me my phone. As soon He placed my phone in my hand Vivian began to call and I quickly answered.
-"Hello?'" - Hey are you okay? I am truly sorry for not taking you home safely, I'll make it up to you okay? -"I'm okay now, I'm just waiting to be released from the hospital." - I'll head to the hospital, please don't do anything to hurt yourself. - Okay, I'll see you then.
I placed my phone down beside me then continued to finish my food, then my parents decided to break the silence to ask "How did you guys meet?" I stopped eating my food to glance at Nny then back at my father.
"Well...we didn't till long ago when I first moved, he walked me back to the apartment...and we ended up going on a date then i think we are taking things slow at the moment." I nervously laughed, Nny removed my plate and placed it on top of his before placing it on the counter.
"I couldn't help myself but to notice your daughter being so lost, it seemed like she was nervous to ask for directions...so i just had to make sure she got home safe." He brushed his hair back, we both sat there embarrassed about how we came to be.
My father brushed his mustache then closed his eyes to think and process to make sure that Nny was ideal with me, he lifted his chin and he opened his mouth before authorities opened and announced "We will need to talk to you privately, all family members must leave this room instantly".
I glanced at Nny to see that he was trembling with anger but not enough to make it obvious towards everyone that was in the room. They stood up and left the room, as NNy walked through the door he gave me a look of "trust me" and soon enough the door was shut and the police sat themselves beside the hospital bed.
They placed a recorder next to my bed stool facing towards me, one of the ladies placed her hand on my shoulder before saying "what you will say is safe in this room, as a young lady you are one of the luckiest and strongest women to ever make it safe from that guy. As uncomfortable as it is you will need to tell us when it began and how you ended up almost killing the guy."
My bottom lips began to quiver, "I-i'm not sure where to begin...it seems to be mixed from what i remember...i'll try my best to say what happened." They nodded and one of the officers began typing away as I spoke about the situation till it got to the part of when Nny was the one that stabbed him, I just told them that it was me who stabbed him as a last resort.
They got up and thanked me for my time before my parents and Nny had returned in the room, "How did you hold up?" my mom held my hand and i looked at everyone in the room and began to quiver. "It was scary but I now know not to go out by myself heh..." My dad and mom hugged me and announced that they will be on their way to my apartment to help me settle back in and my mom winked at Nny as she left the room.
"What was that about?" Nny chuckled, then Vivian crashed through the door and he was panting then ran over to me and held me "I'm here!" I awkwardly hugged him back too, then followed behind him was devi. I could see that Nny got uncomfortable as Devi did not notice him as his back was facing towards her, Nny stood up then kissed me and avoided to be recognized by her. Devi tilted her head back in confusion,then just gave up to see who it was and paid attention to me.
"Was that your boyfriend?" She chuckled, I nodded as Vivian pulled out some flowers then saw that I had gotten some from Nny and scooted it over as he rearranged his into a different vase before settling down.
Why did Nny leave so suddenly?
