I pushed my way through the crowded club, the thumping bass of the music pounding in my ears. The dimly lit space was packed with people, their bodies swaying to the rhythm, sweat glistening on their skin.

As I made my way to the bar, I caught sight of Emma standing near the dance floor, looking stunning in a red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. My heart did a little weird flip as I approached her. I couldn't help but admire the way her eyes sparkled in the low light.

When I casually asked her out for a drink a couple of days ago, I didn't expect Emma to say yes. My busy career had taken over most of my life, leaving little time for dating. But to be honest, the prospect of having someone new in my life had me feeling more excited than I had in a long time. Emma was different from the other women I had been with in the past. Her charm was infectious, and her stunning looks were matched by her intelligence and wit. There was a certain innocence to her that I found endearing. She was a breath of fresh air in my otherwise monotonous life.

"Hey," I said, as I reached closer, trying to keep my voice steady despite the pounding music.

Her eyes lit up with a mix of relief and excitement when she saw me. "Hey there," she said, biting her lip. "I was afraid you were going to bail on me."

I pulled a face, leaning against the counter. "Sorry about that. Something came up, and then finding a damn parking spot was a nightmare. Who knew Friday nights were this busy?" I joked.

Emma's laughter rang through the noise of the club, and I couldn't help but admire the way her lips curved up in a smile. It was a smile that lit up the entire room, and I found myself getting lost in it.

"No worries," she replied, her hand reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm just happy you're here now."

The music was deafening, making it difficult to hear anything other than the thumping bass. I leaned in closer to Emma, my lips almost brushing against her earlobe. "Do you want to grab a drink?" I asked, my breath hot against her skin. "What's your poison?"

Emma smiled and nodded, turning to the bartender. "I'll have a margarita, please," she shouted over the music.

The bartender nodded, his hands moving deftly as he began to mix Emma's drink. I decided to order a whiskey sour for myself, feeling the burn of the alcohol as soon as it hit my tongue.

"I never took you as a club person," she said while toying with her drink.

I took another sip of my whiskey sour and turned my gaze to her. "Honestly, I'm not. But I thought it would be a fun change of pace, and I wanted to see you in a different light." My eyes traveled over her face, watching as a blush spread across her cheeks, making her look even more beautiful.

Emma let out a tinkling laugh, her eyes crinkling at the corners. She took a small sip of her drink, her lips leaving a lipstick stain on the rim of the glass. "Well, I hope I'm not too disappointing in this light," she said teasingly, her gaze flicking up to meet mine.

I chuckled, my eyes never leaving her face. "Not a chance," I replied, my voice low and smooth. I watched as her cheeks flushed a pretty shade of pink, making her look even more alluring in the dim light of the club.

I leaned closer to her, lowering my voice over the loud music. "Although, I'm not sure how I feel about sharing you with all these other guys in here."

Emma raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her lips. "Oh, are you getting possessive already?"

I grinned back at her. "Maybe a little bit. Can't blame me, can you?"

She shrugged nonchalantly, but her eyes sparkled with amusement. "I guess not. But don't worry, I'm all yours tonight."
