I stepped out of the shower, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The water droplets glistened on my skin as I wrapped myself in a fluffy white towel. As I dried off, I couldn't help but think about what Carlos had said earlier. He had designed the room just the way I liked it? It seemed too good to be true.

I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. Maybe it was just his way of making me feel comfortable. After all, I was on an island in the middle of nowhere, with no way to escape if things went south. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of anxiety at the thought.

As my gaze swept over the room, I caught sight of a neatly wrapped package sitting on the bed, tied with a bright red bow. Curiosity piqued, I walked over and picked it up, noting the weight and shape. A card lay beside it, and as I opened it, I recognized Carlos's elegant handwriting immediately.

"A little surprise for you. Hope you will like it. - Carlos"

I unwrapped the gift to reveal a stunning red dress. It was the perfect combination of elegant and sexy, with a form-fitting silhouette and a slit up the side. I couldn't help but smile at Carlos's thoughtfulness, knowing he had picked it out just for me.

As I slipped into the dress and looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked. The vibrant red complemented my skin tone perfectly, and the dress hugged my curves in all the right places.

My heart fluttered as I tended to the rest of my grooming. I brushed my hair and swept it up into a loose bun before applying some makeup to my face. I chose nude lipstick, hoping it would complement the bold color of the dress.

Descending the grand staircase in my new red dress and black heels, I entered the main dining area. The space was breathtaking, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a picturesque view of the sun sinking into the ocean. The soft light of the sunset cast a warm glow over the room, and the table was set with exquisite silverware and delicate crystal glasses. The aroma of the freshly cooked food tantalized my senses and made my stomach growl.

Carlos was already seated, looking sharp in his crisp white shirt and black trousers. He raised his glass of red wine as he caught sight of me, his eyes lingering on my outfit. With a warm smile, he stood up and pulled out my chair, gesturing for me to take a seat.

"Thank you for joining me," he said, pouring me a glass of wine. "I hope you're feeling refreshed after your nap."

"Thank you for having me," I replied, taking a sip of the wine. It was smooth and rich, with a hint of oak. "And yes, I feel much better now. That shower really did the trick." I smiled gratefully at him.

He nodded, his gaze warm. "I'm glad to hear that. Now, let's eat."

He gestured to the plates of food that had been placed in front of us. It was a feast for the senses, with the vibrant colors and aromas of the dishes making my mouth water. I couldn't wait to dig in.

Throughout dinner, we ate quietly, the clinking of silverware the only sound punctuating the silence. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was on Carlos's mind, something he was reluctant to share. I considered asking him, but I didn't want to come off as desperate or nosy. Instead, I forced myself to focus on my meal and finished every last bite.

As I set my fork down, Carlos did the same, signaling the end of the meal. He poured me another glass of wine, which I gratefully accepted. Then, with a nod towards the beach, he suggested we take a walk. The sun had set, and the sky was ablaze with a brilliant array of oranges and pinks. It was the perfect time for a stroll along the water's edge.

As we made our way to the beach, I slipped off my black heels, grasping them by their straps to prevent them from getting sandy. Carlos trailed behind me, watching with amusement as I paused to take in the breathtaking view of the ocean glittering beneath the starry sky.
