I remember that day. I met Shinobu when she was still a teenager, and her sister was my fellow Pillar. She sent me that letter a few months after she took her sisters spot as a Hashira.
That day I came back from a mission slightly wounded, she treated me and decided to get to know me as well. I was a Pillar long before her, but I never had any 'friendships' with the other Hashira.
She was quite the talkative kind, but at the time being able to converse was foreign to me. I didn't expect her to keep trying to be my friend after that, I was wrong.
That was the only letter I didn't respond to since it was the first, but I never missed another letter after that.
