THERE WAS NO TIME left to think about anything else as the group started to pour in. He made sure to hug them each tightly, not exactly sure how they were feeling with all these attacks. Maybe they are feeling like he did when he was their age? Or maybe they are feeling something completely different.

After everyone started to settle down he took a seat next to Wes. Cameron looked over at the younger boy, complimenting his new look. He grinned proudly, showing off his bleached hair that used to be dark brown. "Thanks, Cam. You don't look too bad yourself, all grown up and all."

Cameron shook his head with a chuckle. "Isn't it me who's suppose to say that about you? I'm the older one, remember?"

The younger of the two let out a little chuckle. He was really happy to have the man back in town. Nobody, specifically his friend group, thought they would ever see him again unless it was on television with his mother. The single thought made his smile fade away and into a frown.

"What's with the sudden long face?"

Wes let out a heavy sigh, shaking his head as he spoke up, "People have already died, Cam..." He shook his head, "I'm shitless scared for the first time in my life. It constantly feels like someone is watching and that I could get killed, like, any second."

He laid his hand on Wes' shoulder, trying to comfort him without making either of them uncomfortable. "Nobody is out to get you, Wes, I promise. If one of us is the main target, it's for sure me."

Neither knew if his words helped, but at least it made the younger boy drop his tense shoulders. "Seriously, man, I don't understand how you handle all the trauma," Cameron watched as Wes scoffed in disbelief. "Your life has literally been a horror movie," He continued, "Compared to you...It's not really fair for me to be scared."
