Will is holding his blue toothbrush in his left hand and he has the toothpaste tube in the right one. He gently presses out some paste on the small head of the brush. Hopefully today will go well. Will looks up in the mirror and starts brushing his teeth. First day of school after summer break. This day feels different from all the other first days. Probably because he's forced to go back to the same school. Not middle school, but high school this time. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but it might be.

"Will, I'll drive you." A voice says, coming from the outside, interrupting Will's thoughts.

He turns around, reaches out for the lock, turns it, opens the door and pushes it so it gets wide open. He lays his eyes on his mother, who's already gotten her jacket on.

"But I thought Jonathan was gonna drive me?" Will says, confused. He brushes his teeth between his sentences.

"Will, sweetie," Joyce chuckles.  "Jonathan went off to college a week ago. He's not able to drive you anymore. But I guess... you're not used to it... yet."

"Yeah, you're right." Will says with a low voice. "But mom, Jonathan hasn't driven me in over a year. Argyle was the one driving most of the times when we lived in Lenora."

"Oh, you're right" Joyce smiles. "But don't worry about Jonathan, he will be fine."

"I know, it's just... I miss it, you know?" Will starts. Joyce is standing still in the hall. She nods. "He always drove me when you weren't able to, but then he fell in love Nancy and started to drive her instead."

"Aw Will, you aren't replaced. Your big brother found the girl of his dreams and he wants to spend all his time with her." she tried to explain.

"You say? They didn't even get into the same college."

"Their results has nothing to do with how their relationship is like... unless if I got it wrong. Either way, they still call each other every day."

"Gross", Will replies while still brushing his teeth.

"You're not gonna think it's gross when you get a lover  you just can't get enough of. Someone you want on your side forever." Joyce says and smiles big.

"Hmm", Will mumbles, not knowing what else to say. What his mom just said makes him think of someone, someone special. He walks back to the sink and spits out the toothpaste mixed with salvia. He throws the brush into the holder and moves up his gaze to his reflection. His hair is a tad more messier than it was just a few months ago. He had letting it grow out, after that he convinced his mother to let him go to an actual barber. He then got his dream haircut, a short shaggy haircut. It's basically the same he had before, just simply... messier

Meanwhile at the Wheeler's...

"Mom! Can you pour syrup on my eggs for me pleaseee?!" Mike shouts from the bathroom.

"Why do you still do that, anyway?" Karen asks.

"Because it's tastes good as f-"

"Language, son!" His father cuts him off. As usual, Ted is sitting on his couch, watching tv. Obviously Mike isn't seeing him at this exact moment. But when he came down the stairs, earlier this morning, his dad was already glued to the tv.
