Early Shift.1

Sweat was dripping from my brow, heat flooded my body.Anger surged through me but my mom stood in front of me.She was a true Savior Alpha.One of the closest in charge beside the Elders and the Moon Goddess. My body ached with the need to shift.Bones ached to snap.My wolf didnt push until mom said so.The elders said it was too early for my shift i was barely going to be 17 years old.My 17th Birthday was still a few months away.A growl ripped from my throat as i ached to shift.i couldnt speak to my wolf yet and i only knew just about enough of the shift to know it was early.Everyone shifts at 18.No earlier not much later, And a wolf could possibly die if they didnt have the ties of their mate or a bond.Like mom had.

"Jedd.."my mom trailed off her eyes blazing.She was worried.Dad was home with my brother and sister. With the known history of each Saviors shift they knew mine would be the same.I was a direct descendant of two Alpha Saviors.No doubt a Savior born Alpha. "Jedd look at me baby."I heard my moms voice and i growled forcing my head to get it together.My eyes locked with hers and i saw it in her eyes.I was shifting tonight.
"Let it happen baby..find your wolf find your heart..do not stop breathing."She said and i screamed in pain as my bones began snapping.My mother stayed close enough for me to feel her aura.I focused on her strength her love her belief.With each snap of a bone came another scream and a reminder to myself that i can do it.To breath because i couldnt leave my mom.She'd already lost my dad i couldnt let her lose me too.
It took so much energy.I was so tired.when the final bone began to set i let my consciousness fade. "Good job Jedd."I heard and let myself fall into the black.

When i came too All around me was just beautiful.The forest never looked so alive.The green looked so much brighter in the trees and the grass and the flowers looked more vibrant.I felt my mom before i saw her.I huffed and slowly walked to her loving the feeling of the damp earth under my paws.It felt like i was finally stretching to my full height.felt like i was free.My moms eyes brightened and she looked so happy.Her smile glimmered and she laughed bringing her hands to her mouth.Her aura smelled like a mix of relief, pride, happiness, and just a twinge of Sadness. I whined and gently nudged my mom.She sniffled and her hands held her face."You look just like your father."She said and i huffed rubbing my head on her side.She laughs softly and rubs my head. "You have his eyes, his heart."She mumbles gently picking my head up and i let her.She smiles her eyes brightening and she takes in a breath. "Run baby..round the territory to the house."she says and i hop on my hind feet a little which makes her laugh.
"Go Jedd ill meet you at the house."She says and i take off.It feels natural to run.The wind through my fur the earth under my paws.The speed didnt blur my vision in the slightest.Didnt make my lungs burn.It felt freeing.

Along the bank of the pond at the end of the river, where wolves went cliff diving i looked at my self.The face of my fathers wolf, my wolf, stared back at me. His bright blue eyes, raven fur, and dark nose.
I ran around the territory for about an hour until i finally made my way home.As i trotted up i saw my mom and dad waiting up for me in the front room of the house.My mom felt me and she was out the door with dad behind her.I hopped to her and she laughs at me as i topple in front of her. Dad chuckles and stands beside mom as i stand up.I nudge my head against them."When youre ready to shift back just remember you have to picture what your human form looks like.Feel your surroundings like a human would."mom says which makes me huff. I walk over to the cover of trees and dad follows with a blanket from the front room.I follow my mother's instruction and soon enough in a painful few seconds i was standing on two feet.Dad tossed me the blanket and i wrapped it around myself. "You did good Jedd."Dad said and pat my shoulder as we walked back to mom.She smiles seeing me and i let her engulf me in a hug. "Good job baby."She said and i exhaled hugging her back as best i could.
When i finally made it to my room i looked in the mirror and noticed myself.My body transformed filling with the power of my wolf.I looked more like my father everyday.Now i was just a carbon copy of him.With my mothers bone structure.I was born pure blood Alpha Savior and i looked it now.
