Y/N would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous.

This school was humongous compared to the other schools she's attended. The corridors were wide enough to fit at least ten people side by side, and the windows were huge allowing plenty of sunlight to enter the halls.

This place was beautiful, but her reaction now was nothing compared to when she first arrived.

The sight of the large building was enough to send any city girl into shock. Parts of the building reached high into the sky while stretching far onto the property. Not to mention the large clock tower resting inside the perimeter of the school.

It was beautiful yet the design was so intricate.

The more Y/N looked at it the more awestricken she became. This place looked less like a school and more like a castle depicted out of a fairytale.

Y/N walked down the long corridor scanning the area for any signs of the main office—but instead she was visited by an empty hallway and closed doors. The letter did say to visit the campus today, right?

Y/N scanned through the thin piece of paper held tightly in her hand. The letter her aunt had given her was a rundown of the first day if she took the offer.

She would come to campus in whatever uniform she had available, and head over to the chairman's office first thing when she arrived. He would then explain what makes Ouran, well...Ouran.

"Well, it's definitely the right day." She reassured herself, scanning the hallway once more. "But where is—"

"Are you Ms. Yakima's niece?"

Startled, Y/N jumped back. A man stood behind her with a warm smile. He was well-groomed. His hair was slicked back and his suit was tailored to perfection.

This was definitely not a normal man.

"Uh...yes?" Y/N didn't know how to respond to the random stranger in front of her. He did know who her aunt was, so maybe this was who she was looking for. "Are you by chance the chairman?"

"That would be correct." He spoke with a grin. "From the looks of it, I had you running around looking for me. I'm sorry about that. I should've guessed you wouldn't know your way around campus."

"It's fine. I'm good at guessing where I need to go."

He bellowed out a laugh. "Seems like it! You were just about there."

Y/N was taken back by his reaction. He seemed easygoing rather than the professional business personality she had expected.

With a smile the chairman waved for her to follow. "I'll lead you the rest of the way. There are some important details I wish to discuss before I send you headfirst into the life of an Ouran student."

"Um...okay."

With a welcoming smile he led Y/N down the rest of the corridor. With each passing step, the nervous pit grew more and more.

One-on-one meetings were never her cup of tea. If the other participant would say something to accidentally provoke her, she would lash back without any hesitation.

It was a bad habit. One she needed to break.

"Here we are." The chairman spoke, opening the door and gesturing her inside. "After you."

With a weak smile, Y/N entered the office—and what she saw was not expected.

The room had a large mahogany desk just in front of two small sofas. Large windows, similar to the ones in the hallway, were displayed behind the desk. Book shelves rested on the side of each wall followed by a small standing table which displayed various photos and plaques.

This office structure was nothing compared to the one's Y/N had been in before. It created a more comfortable atmosphere, one that eased the tension of visitors.

"If you'd be so kind as to take a seat, then we can get this meeting started." The chairman gestured towards the plush couches before shutting the door.

She followed his request, taking a seat near the edge of the couch. She wanted this to be over as quick as possible. All she had to do was answer his questions and then she'd be able to start her new life. How hard could that be?

"Ms. Y/N." Y/N watched as the chairman pulled out a folder from his desk drawer, skimming through it. "Your aunt talked very highly of you, however there are a few things I would like to touch basis on."

Her head was running through thousands of thoughts a minute. If he found out about the fights there was no way she would get into Ouran. She prayed that he wouldn't ask about it, but that was quickly crushed to the ground.

"From what I see here, you were expelled just a few weeks ago for violent behavior. Do you mind elaborating for more?"

"Uh..." Y/N froze. She wasn't sure what to say that wouldn't make her seem like a hot-head. "I was...provoked."

Nice one genius.

The chairman raised an eyebrow at the statement. "Provoked? Provoked how exactly?"

She needed to calm down. It wasn't like she was in an interrogation. He just wanted to know more about her—at least that's what she hoped for.

"There's no need to feel nervous." He reassured her with a smile. "I just want to know the full picture."

This made her feel a bit better. With a deep breath she began to explain her weird circumstance.

"I wasn't relatively liked at my school." She admitted with a sheepish smile. "Classmates would pick on me a lot and even cause fights. Because I was the only one to get caught, I suffered for it. I guess the teachers finally had enough of me."

You let out a light chuckle to ease the tension, but that seemed to only make things more awkward.

"I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Trust me when I say you won't have to deal with any of that here. We make it a priority to allow a safe and enjoyable environment for our students, and now that includes you."

The folder closed with a small clap before being placed back onto the mahogany surface. "If any of that happens, please let me know immediately. I'll make sure it is dealt with properly."

"Thank you sir."

A chuckle escaped from the chairman. "No need to thank me. Here."

Y/N's eyes trailed down to a small thin card that was extended out to her. She took it from the chairman's grasp with an intriguing look.

"This is your school card. Please try not to lose it. It is used for verification that you are indeed a student of Ouran Academy."

"I need verification to get in?"

"Not necessarily, no. But it is used as a precaution in case a stranger manages to sneak into the school."

Ouran Academy is a school for the wealthy. It makes sense for them to take security such as this into effect.

"You'll be in class 2-A on the second floor." He explained. "If you ever get lost, don't be afraid to ask the students or faculty members. They'll be happy to assist you."

Y/N gave him a genuine smile this time. She could already tell that this place was different, but in a good way. The principal was nice and understanding—he even offered to help her with situations if they happen to occur.

This was going to be her new life, and she was going to make the most of it.
