Ch. 7 - Suspicions

The room bustled with the liveliness of its patrons as they drank their tea with fondness. Today was a busy day, but it was nothing new to the Vice President of the host club. For him, this was just another day.

The girls, who were common customers, consistently gushed over the various club members as they put on their convincing acts. Of course, this became a normal routine for all of the hosts, but it was not one they disliked. In fact, they quite enjoyed being the center of attention. Kyoya, on the other hand, would rather watch from the side.

At least that's what he would have liked for the day.

"Kyoya, may I ask you a question?"

Kyoya's eyes wandered to the club's President, who stood beside him. "I don't see why not."

"Why did Ms. Fushijima call you over yesterday?"

Kyoya paused, however he wasn't taken back by the question. Tamaki Suoh, the host club's king, has always been a curious individual on various subjects alongside the people around him.

His attention shifted back down to the clipboard in his hands. "Ms. Fushijima requested that I tutor the new students since she has been struggling in a certain subject."

"So that's where you were!" Tamaki exclaimed. "I was wondering why you never showed up to the club yesterday. I was beginning to think that you got tired of us."

"Well, you're not wrong."

Tamaki shot a wounded glare towards Kyoya, however his expression of offense quickly shifted into one of curiosity. "Wait, how come you accepted her request?"

"It was a personal request from our teacher." Kyoya stated before placing his clipboard down on a vacant table. "Why would I refuse it?"

"Yes, but you never accept to tutor someone. Who exactly is this student?"

Before Kyoya could disregard the question, he was dug deeper into the hole of suspicion that was caused by the misdemeanors of two hosts. They weren't just any hosts however. They were twins that would cause mischief if they received too much time on their hands. The Hitachiin twins.

"I don't know if this is important or not," Hikaru started.

"But we did see Kyoya-Senpai walk with a girl yesterday." Kaoru finished.

"A girl?" Tamaki took in the twins' info, but it wasn't long before he came to a realization. "It couldn't possibly be the new student in our class, could it?"

When Kyoya remained silent, the three hosts gasped in shock. Soon, all hell broke loose as they swarmed him, demanding for answers.

"What's going on?" Another host, Haruhi Fujioka, questioned, and the twins were not afraid to blurt out the news.

"Kyoya-Senpai walked with the new girl!"

"And he's tutoring her!"

"New girl?" Haruhi stared at the two in confusion before shifting her gaze towards Kyoya, "What new girl?"

"A girl with the same background as yourself." Tamaki tried to explain through his shocked tone. "A commoner had joined our class just a week ago. She seems like a very intriguing woman, but I would have never guessed Kyoya would have taken a liking to her."

"You morons are reading into it way too much." Kyoya tried to shake off the subject the best he could. "This is not as big of a deal as you are making it seem."

"Then please tell us Kyoya-Senpai," Kaoru questioned before Hikaru continued. "What exactly is going on?"

Kyoya let out an irritated sigh as he repeated himself. "Like I said before, Ms. Fushijima requested that I help her in the subjects she is struggling in. That is all. I don't understand why none of you can comprehend that."
