Gregory's POV

I look at Evan. "What were you looking at?" Evan asks. "Theres a butterfly," I point and look at the beautiful monarch butterfly. "See?" He turns to look. "Oh! Yeah I do! It's pretty."

"I've always been kinda scared of butterflies," I admitted. "To be honest." "Actually?" He quickly shot his head to look over at me, laughing. "What?!" I ask, laughing as well. "I mean-" He speaks through giggles. "-Why?" He smiles. "Well, when I was 5 or so, a kid told me they could bite you. Of course now I realize, thats untrue." I start, "But I've always kinda believed they could." I end, looking over at him. "I mean, I can understand now, but still. But now that I think about it, I think they can."

"THEY CAN?!" I jump up, yelling. The butterfly was still flying around, only a couple feet away. "Im not sure, Greg!" He replies, through giggles. "Whatever, let's go inside bef-" I was cut off by the 2 minute warning bell rang. "-fore the bell rings..." I trailed off, sighing. Evan giggles. "Let's get to Gym." He picks up his backpack, and I pick up mine, stuffing my phone in it. He puts his in his pocket.

'Should I hold his hand? No, thats bold. But bold's good. But, it doesn't mean anything, friends hold hands. Shut up, Gregory, just hold his hand!' I snap myself out of my thoughts, blushing.

I grab Evan's hand dragging him to the gymnasium. He argues and babbles the entire time, but I don't mind too much. We get to the boys locker rooms, I jog to my locker, throwing my bag into it, grabbing my gym clothes. I throw off my shirt, putting on the one I wear for gym.

I sigh, once done. I wait for Evan, closing my locker. Evan walks out of the bathroom, and he puts his clothes in his backpack, closing his locker.

"Evan, long sleeves again?" I ask, raising my eyebrows. "Yuperdoo!" He smiles brightly, hands on his hips. I roll my eyes, and we leave the locker room, starting to do laps around the gym with each other side by side.

Gregory's POV

I run up to Evan after school, "Hey, Ev! Wait up!" He stops walking, whipping around to see me. "Oh, hey Gregory, what's up?" "The sky." I joked, Evan lightly punched my shoulder. "Nah, I was just wondering if I could come over so we can hang out. "Oh! Uhh.." He seems to pause for a moment, thinking. "We don't have too, obviously-" I quickly sputter out. Does he not want to hang out?

"Um, no, we can hang out." He smiles. "Oh okay- Soo, are we walking?" "Yeah, my brother has stuff to do at work so he's staying a bit longer." He replies, as we start walking down a path im not familiar with. "Oh alright!" I say, starting to hum.

I pull out my phone, playing music again. "Eliminating silence again?" Evan asks.

"Eliminating silence again?" I quiz, stealing a glance from Gregory. 'He's beautiful. Too bad I don't have a chance, he wouldn't ever love someone like me... Im lucky he's even friends with me.'

I shake my head slightly. "Yeah." He smiles, I feel my face heat up, he's so beautiful. He stares out in front of us, I stare at his amber, caramel colored eyes. I'm always told my eyes look weird, since they are two different colors..

I look away, feeling a buzz from my phone that was in my pocket. I take it out, and look at my notifications, I see my younger sister, Elizabeths contact. She said 'Hey, Can you stop by the gas station on the way home, I want a slushy.'

I roll my eyes, and leave her on read. "Hey, Greg? Mind stopping at the gas station?" I point at the gas station thats a couple hundred feet away. "Not at all! Why, you wanna go?" "Yeah, my sister wants a slushy, we could get slushies too."
