Before we begin, I would like to preface this chapter by saying that it's longer than usual.. Why, you might ask? Well, it's because of the continuous support from my amazing readers! I love reading all of your funny and motivational comments - they truly make my day. Additionally, I wanted to thank @Impaled_heart for commenting and voting. It means so, so much to me! :)

I kicked off my shoes and hung my coat onto the hook, sighing in relief that I was now back in the comfort of my home. I was tired from a long day full of assignments, tests, and not to mention, Blake being annoying. I rubbed my eyes sleepily, and turned around to make my way upstairs.

All of a sudden, Eric jumped in front of me out of nowhere! I jumped back in shock, and took a second to catch my breath, "You almost gave me a heart attack!" Eric smiled at me and laughed, "So my plan worked?" He joked. Seeing my best friend happy and out of the hospital made me forget any of the napping plans I made for the afternoon.

We spent the day catching up on my couch, us talking about how school was like, and our interests (such as books! We both loved Harry Potter!). "The jocks at my school are so annoying! They keep throwing footballs in the hallways and-" Suddenly, I remembered that I had promised Blake that I'd come to his game. I cut Eric off, and said, "Oh shoot! That reminds me.. I have to go to some stupid football game tonight.." I bit the inside of my cheek.

Eric looked at me in curiosity, "Since when were you into... football?" He scrunched up his face in disgust, "Ever since this one jock kept clinging on to me. You know him. He took me to the hospital once to see you. He kept begging me to come to his game, so.. I agreed." I confessed. "You're leaving me for some egotistic jock?" Eric whined, "I drove all the way here to see you and you're leaving?"

I rolled my eyes, "Well.. I suppose you could come with me." I sighed. Eric's face lit up, and he smiled, thanking me profusely. We got up from the couch, and changed into warmer clothes for tonight's game.

"No way this is your new school! Redsen High's huge!" Eric opened his arms in an attempt to show me how 'big' my school was. "Yup. Good thing it's huge, otherwise all of the jocks would've filled up the halls with their gym-rat bodies." I said, rolling my eyes.

The cheerleaders were wearing our school colors, red and black, with paint and glitter on their faces. Their uniform was skimpy, and looked like it belonged in a prostitution ring. I saw Keagan, Blake's girlfriend, following the rest of the group as they made their way to our field. I eyed her down with jealousy.

Once Eric and I were outside, the cold breeze of the night air fanned our faces. Almost all of the bleachers were filled up, making it hard to find a seat. It's true what they say about cold temperatures making you want to empty out your bladder, because I suddenly felt the urge to use the restroom.

"How about you sit here? I'm gonna go to the bathroom really quick," I muttered, and motioned for Eric to sit down on one of the only available spaces on the bleachers. After getting through the huge crowd of jock-obsessed cheerleaders, and people who held huge signs that blocked the hallways, I finally made it to the restroom.

After I finished my business, I turned around to wash my hands. That's when the door suddenly opened, revealing a hurdle of jocks coming in, laughing. I noticed them through the mirror, and realized I had no way to escape. I knew that the game hadn't started yet, and they probably came into the restroom to smoke, or do god-knows-what.

"Well, well, well, look what we got ourselves here, boys." Called out Cody, standing in front of all the other jocks. He was bigger in comparison to them, about the same height as Blake. He came closer, towering over me, causing me to subconsciously cower under him.
