"Good morning too, roommate." Ver greeted, his tone was polite but his eyes held a dangerous glint.
The redhead frowned deeply at the other's obvious fake attitude and irritatingly fake smile. He tightened his grip on his scabbard.
If he kills him now then all the unwanted bloodshed wouldn't occur-
"Young master." An unfamiliar voice belonging to a middle-aged man carrying what he assumes is that lunatic's luggage snapped him out of his thought.
Ver watched as the redhead released his grip on his scabbard, his furrowed brows eased up and his bloodthirsty eyes dimmed. The hot-tempered brat a while ago disappeared and was replaced by a well-mannered young man.
Wow.
Not only is this brat hot-tempered but also a hypocrite, but hey, at least the child still knows how to respect the elderly.
"Just drop my bags over there on the left bed." Ver said, pointing towards the unoccupied bed.
"Pardon me young sir but would you kindly move to the side?" Uncle John asked the redhead that was blocking the entrance.
The redhead moved to the side, letting the older man as well as the lunatic inside.
"Young master, don't you think this room is a bit small?"
Ver took a glance around the room. He estimated that it was half the size of his bedroom, which is spacious enough to fit in three luxurious carriages.
"Nope, on the contrary, I think it's just right."
"Well, if the young master is satisfied then I'll be off. Farewell young master and young sir."
After the man left, the redhead immediately stared daggers towards the innocent Ver, but instead of being offended or even alarmed, Ver simply smiled.
"I'm flattered that you have taken a liking towards me but please, admire me in a less noticeable way."
"Ugh! Disgusting!" The other immediately retorted as his face showed his clear repulsion towards Ver's words.
"Hahaha, you're a funny boy-...name?"
"Why would I tell you my name?"
"To get to know each other better."
"You think I want to get along with the likes of you?!" He yelled as felt the vein in his forehead throb.
"I'm good-looking and intelligent, so why not try and get along with me?" He said as if stating the most obvious truth.
"Shameless! Who in the hell finds you attractive?!"
Ver sighed deeply, "Unfortunately everyone."
The redhead took a deep breath. He threw his sword to his bed, fearing that he'd suddenly stab the bastard to death.
He knew this trash had an annoying personality but he wasn't expecting to be this severe!
"If you keep on frowning, you'll look just as handsomely shrivelled as my grandfather."
Son of a bi-
"I'm just joking with you, redhead." Ver said, trying to soften the other's raging expression.
The said redhead not only did not soften his expression, but also felt a burning desire to wipe that smug smile off Ver's incredibly punchable face.
Not yet, don't kill him yet. He chanted over and over again in his mind. After mustering up all his self-control, he turned around, walked to the door and with a loud slam, he was gone.
Ver smiled triumphantly as he unpacked his clothes, while his other bags, which contained legal and slightly illegal items, were placed under the bed for safekeeping.
Ver quickly hung his formal clothes and stuffed his other clothes inside his designated closet.
He wiped the nonexistent sweat on his forehead before heading towards the southern part of the campus.
Maybe the testing ground's repaired.

A trio of young men stood outside the cafeteria. One of them turned his head towards a particular direction.
A familiar vibrant red hair instantly caught his attention, he waved his arm up high and yelled, "Loyd!"Loyd's heartbeat seemed to slow down, he paused his steps as he got a better view of the person who yelled his name.
The person was a short, brown-haired youth that kept waving his arm frantically.
Melvin?
His gaze shifted towards the other two youths beside Melvin.
Joshua and Tristan?
A memory of three corpses suddenly resurfaced, one was hovering face down on a river, the second lay on the pavement all bloody and the last had its limbs torn savagely apart.
Loyd clenched his fist. He suddenly felt nauseous as the vivid recall of their deaths occupied his mind.
"Hey, Loyd!"
Loyd looked up. He focused all his attention towards the three.
Seeing his childhood friends together, alive and smiling, the suffocating feeling inside his heart lessened. A stinging sensation on his nose moved up to his reddening eyes.
"Is he alright?"
"An upperclassman perhaps?"
"Maybe another rejected suitor?"
A few curious looks and murmurs instantly increased his slowed heartbeat. He hurriedly wiped his teary eyes and uttered a few curse words as if something got flown in his eyes.
Fuck! He cursed as he felt his face and ears burn from shame.
He had never yearned to bury himself alive until now!
"LOYD!" The loud voice was immediately followed by a hard smack on the back.
"What took-...you alright?" Joshua asked. His gentle way of speaking felt nostalgic to Loyd.
"I'm good." Loyd replied.
"Damn, cryin' in a crowded place, aren't ya embarrassed?" Tristan said jokingly.
"Bastard! I can't help but tear up when a damn bug flew in my eye!" Loyd immediately retorted.
"Stop all of your yapping and let's go eat!" Melvin said as pulled Loyd's arm towards the cafeteria.
"I thought were going to train?"
"Well, I can't train with an empty stomach!"
Loyd let himself get dragged by Melvin. He listened with interest as his friends talked about mundane topics.
The four of them grabbed a tray and waited in line. At their front were three ladies wearing maroon-colored uniforms, signifying their status as 3rd-year seniors.
"I wonder if they opened the testing grounds." One of the girls said.
"It is still under maintenance...I think."
"What's taking them so long?"
"With how potent the illusion runes drawn by that...what was his name again?...was it Ren?"
"No, I think it was Ven?"
"Jeremy, Ven- whatever his name is, I hope he fails a test!"
"Still can't forget your score?"
"Humph, I should have gotten a 95 if that illusion incident didn't delay my work!"
