" What? why not? " Kunot noo kong tanong kay Santi

Nandito kami ngayon sa Seb's at nag papalipas ng free period namin dahil may biglaang hearing daw si atty, sakto naman na nandito pala ito kaya nag confirm ako ulit kung kelan ako mag sisimulang mag trabaho dito kaso nga lang ay parang nag bago ang isip nito at hindi na yata matutuloy, hindi ko lang alam kung bakit biglang nagbago ang isip nito.

" I'm really sorry Ali, there was a mix-up with the staff rotation and may nauna na palang nainterview at na train para sa mababakanteng position sa malapit na brach dito, yung ibang opening pala kasi sa ibang location na" paliwanag nito na hindi makatingin saakin

" Sayang naman, pero thank you parin Santi " my shoulders slumped as I leaned back in my chair

" Dude! not cool, pinaasa mo si Ali " sita dito ni Damon sabay binato pa ng tissue si Santi sa dibdib, wala namang nagawa si Santi kundi umiling at humingi ulit ng pasensya saakin.

" Okay lang, may ibang trabaho pa naman siguro akong pwede applyan " kunot noo ako habbang nag i-isip kung saan pa ako pwede mag apply ng part-time job ko.

" Maybe Ellio can help you out " Santi gave Ellio a knowing look

" Oh that's right! diba nag resign yung documentation officer nyo sa team? " biglang baling Damon dito kaya napalingon kaming lahat

He cleared his throat and gave me a quick glance " Yeah but I dont think Ali would be interested in being a part of my team "

As soon as we locked eyes, my thoughts rushed back to our little argument in his car. Ibang ibang sa kung paano nya ako kausapin ngayon, it was like the Ellio from the car was just a part of my imagination which I refuse to accept.

Kung kaya nyang umasta na parang walang epekto sa kanya yon edi mas kaya ko din! akala nya siguro madadala nya ako sa mga simpleng pang lalandi nya, he might've caught me off guard but he will never come between me and my goals.

" Why not? the job is perfect for her " pangungulit ni Damon dito

Tinitigan naman ako ni Ellio bago tumango na parang nag i-isip pa kung pwede nga ako, Hello? He would be lucky to have me in his team! sya pa itong nag aalangan saakin?

" Alright, she can apply " he finally answered after a few moments , which made me raise my eyebrows, it really took him that long to consider me for the job? the audacity!

" What exactly is the job? and what team? " takhang tanong ko dito

" Well actually it's not just a team but a company since they have a business permit and all that legal sh!t " sagot ni Damon

" Legal sh!t- what kind of law student are you? " kunot noong tanong ni Ellio kay Damon na tinawanan lang sya

Ellio sighed in annoyance and sips his dark coffee before fixing his gaze on me, Those damn eyes, mga pahamak!

I kept my cool and refused to break our little staring game

" So I'll be working with you? "
I finally ask Ellio

" For me, not with me " simpleng sagot nito na nag pataas lalo ng kilay ko

" What's the difference? " I asked in annoyance

" Well, he is the owner and lead developer Ali, which will techinically make him your- "

" Your Boss " Ellio interrupts Damon

It took every nerve in my face not to scowl at the condescending ass***e in front of me, if I have any chance at this job then I at least need to be civil with him.
