"I don't love you anymore, I'm so insecure. Never knew that love did this."
I had just gotten home from the gym and my body was starting to ache a bit so I ran myself a hot bath. There I sat in the steaming hot water filled with rose scented bubbles up to my neck.
My head rested against the edge of the tub behind me as I had my eyes closed, enjoying the moment of peace that was shortly interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. I groan as I grab the towel off the wooden bench beside me and dry my hands off before grabbing it.
Soon the frustration goes away as I see it was Billie calling. She'd randomly call me throughout the day just to talk or check on me which I didn't mind at all. I answer and set my phone down sinking back down into the water. The tone in her voice was a bit raspy, as if she had just woken up.
"You sound like you're in a good mood this morning." I lightly laugh and close my eyes before responding. "I am. I mean April isn't home right now so I don't have to deal with her and as of now I'm just sitting in the bath enjoying it while I can."
"Hmm I see. Anything else planned for today?"
"Other than cleaning out me and April's closet that's about it." The closet needed to be cleared out since we both had a bunch of clothes we hardly wore anymore so anything that hadn't been worn in a while was most likely going to be donated.
We continue talking and I got out of the tub eventually and was now sitting on the closet floor with a robe on. "Well since you aren't really busy today...did you maybe want to come over and we can order food and watch a movie."
A small smile grew on my lips at her idea. I mean it wouldn't hurt to spend time with Billie. Make up for time lost and it is only just as friends so I see no harm in it. "Sure that sounds nice actually." I finished cleaning out one drawer and put all the clothes back in and moved to the next.
As I pull all the clothes out the next drawer I noticed something sticking out from behind it. I reach my hand back and pull out a pair of Levi blue jeans. I scrunched my eyebrows knowing that I don't wear Levi jeans and they weren't in my size either.
They couldn't possibly be April's either being she's too tall for them. That's when I finally got to thinking . "Hey Billie I'm gonna call you back later." I hang up before she can respond and right on cue I hear April come through the front door.
"Hey Imani, how was your day?" I'm surprised she even spoke to me but had yet to look up from her phone. "Fine...April who's jeans are these?" She finally looked up from her phone and looked at the pair of jeans in my hand. "I don't know, could be yours or something."
