After the small vacation in Sant Petersburg. Atsushi became more lively. Three members of Rats in the House of the Dead fell in love, in a friendly way, with this kind child.
And they made a promise to protect the child of Dostoevsky. And they became nice to Atsushi.
And one of the Russian lessons. Ivan placed sweets on the table as Lev was teaching about the Russian alphabet and some words. But something came up in Ivan's mind.
"Um, Atsushi," Ivan called. Lev only stared at the butler for interrupting the lesson. "When is your birthday may I ask?" Ivan said.
Atsushi looked down. "Well, that's it, Ivan," Lev said with a deadly voice. Ivan only shivered. He carefully turned his head to see Lev in his deadly mode.
"Get ready for your death!" Lev said as he lifted his hand with his stick.
"The 5th of May," Atsushi said. Two grown-ups looked at him. "5th of May?" Lev said. "Yes, that's right," Atsushi said. "Oh, I thought you didn't know about your birthday..." Lev said.
"Hm, in the orphanage, the workers always celebrated other children. Expect mine..." Atsushi said. Two grown-ups looked at Atsushi with shock.
"Sorry to remind you of this. And, I'm taking my leave." Ivan said as he walked away.
"Ahem, shall we take a break?" Lev said. "No, it's ok," Atsushi said. Lev was silent.
Living room
Nikolai and Alexander were doing their own stuff as Ivan came. "Oh, hi Ivan," Nikolai said as Fyodor came inside. "Listen, we have a mission now," Ivan said. "Huh? A mission?" Pushkin asks. "Yes, to get Atsushi's birthday gift!" Ivan said.
"Huh?! Atsushi's birthday is close?!" Nikolai said. "We still have 3 more days. But, we need to find a gift for him." Ivan said.
"Oh, his birthday is on the 5th of May?" Gogol said. Ivan only nodded his head. Fyodor left the living room to not get attention from his workers.
"Well, let us disguise now!" Nikolai said.
Shopping center
All three of the members were on their own as they were searching for the gift for Atsushi.
Nikolai was in toy store.
Ivan was in sweet store.
And as for Pushkin. He was in distress. He didn't knew what to give to his boss's son.
And Fyodor was looking at Pushkin with disappointment. The he soon walked away. But soon, he saw something.
5th of May
Atsushi was looking around the base because he couldn't find anyone from the Rats in the House of the Dead. He was in a panic.
Soon he walked to the dining room. As he opened the door, the confetii were flying down to him.
"Surprise! Happy birthday!" Everyone said.
"Huh? What?" Atsushi said with confusion.
"It's your birthday Tigrenok (Tiger cub). And we wanted to celebrate your birthday." Nikolai said as he walked to Atsushi. "Let us go and celebrate!" Pushkin said.
Atsushi then had tears in his eyes. And the members were worried about him. It took some time to calm him down before to celebrate the birthday party.
And after a moment, they began to celebrate the party. Atsushi was enjoying the party. And was happy to open his first birthday presents. And birthday cake.
Atsushi's new room
Atsushi was playing with his new stuffed animal, that was a white tiger. Atsushi only smiled. But then the door opened. He looked up and it was his adopted father.
"I thought you had some business..." Atsushi said. "I had. Now I'm all free. And I wanted to give you a present." Fyodor said as he showed the box with a ribbon. And strangely had a lot of holes.
'Why there is a lot of holes...?' Atsushi thought. As he accepcted the present, the box suddenly moved. Atsushi shivered by the box's action.
He looked at his adopted father. And in Fyodor's face stood that he had nothing bad.
Then he opened the box, and small white furred kitten with purple on it's right side and iris color on it's left. With a scar on it's left side of he face. Atsushi carefully picked the kitten and studied it. "This is actually a female kitten. And before we went to Sant Petersburg, you wanted a kitten. So, I thought to get you one." Fyodor said.
Atsushi then hugged Fyodor with the kitten. "Thanks you, dad...." Atsushi said on Russian. Fyodor was shocked on what Atsushi called him. He smiled and hugged Atsushi back.
The next day
Library
Both Ivan and Lev was preparing to the lesson. Soon Atsushi came. "Ah, Atsushi. We are about to end with preparing the lesson. So if you don't mind to wait for- Hm? Who is that?" Lev noticed the kitten.
"Ah, that's my pet! Dad gave me her yesterday." Atsushi said. "Aw, how cute it is." Ivan said as he patted the kitten.
Lev only sighed. But he smiled. "Alright, let us begin with preparation and start the lesson." Lev said.
