Atsushi was reading a book as Anna was walking around. "Um, Anna..." Atsushi called after Karenina. The woman stared at the child. "What do you want?" She asks. "Um, could you go with me to a shop?" Atsushi asks.

"And why should I? What am I to you? A babysitter? You are 13 years old!" Anna said. "But, I'm not familiar with Moscow yet. And, I haven't left the base because of the lessons and other things." Atsushi said. Anna only looked at the boy for a moment.

"And what do you need to buy?" Anna asks.

Atsushi only smiled.

Shopping center

Atsushi was searching for the black threads as Anna was looking around. And they went to a lot of places.

Soon they made a break as Atsushi was eating ice cream. "You really are not familiar with Moscow?" Anna asks. "No, not much. I've most of the time looked around Moscow's architecture and historians' places with literature. As we take a few breaks and take something sweet." Atsushi said.

"I see," Anna said.

"But, I am also not familiar with my homeland too," Atsushi said as he bit the waffle. "Where you come from tell me?" Anna asks. "Japan, Yokohama," Atsushi said. "And, how come you are not familiar with your homeland?" Anna asks.

"That is because I was raised in an orphanage. And it was placed in the middle of nowhere, so it wasn't easy to see Yokohama itself." Atsushi said.

"Oh, and as you were adopted, could you see the city?" Anna asks. "No, me and my dad took the taxi and we were at the airport that time," Atsushi said.

"I see," Anna said. "But, I believe it is beautiful," Atsushi said. "Even tho you never saw the city?" Anna said. "Yes, that's right," Atsushi said.

"Oh, mal'chik (boy)." An elderly female voice appeared. Atsushi was shocked to hear the familiar voice. He turned around and looked up to see the same elderly couple from Sant Petersburg.

"Do you remember us? We met in Sant Petersburg." The man said. "What are your names anyway?" Atsushi said. Anna only looked at Atsushi with shock. "Oh, how rude of us. I'm Maria Fedorovna Dostoevsky. And this is my husband, Mikhail Andreevich Dostoevsky." Maria presented herself and her husband.

'Like my dad's last name. But, dad doesn't have a middle name...' Atsushi thought. "You were taken by our son, Fyodor. And we were worried about you. Did he do something to you?" Maria asks as she kneeled. "Why would he?" Atsushi asks. He could tell something bad about these two.

"You see mal'chik (boy). He killed one of our workers, and we had no choice but o give up on him. By one touch of his hands, and you are dead." Atsushi was shocked when Mihail said that.

'So that is why Dad is wearing gloves when he touches me....' Atsushi thought.

"And we don't understand why God hates our son. For giving this horrible ability, as Crime and Punishment..." Maria said.

"Anna, let's go," Atsushi said as he held onto Anna's hand and was walking away.

"Huh? Mal'chik (boy) where are you going?!" Mikhail asks. "Going to tell my father about what you trying to brainwash your adoptive grandson. He will never hurt me, because I'm his son." Atsushi said.

Both of the elderly couples were shocked to know who Atsushi is to Fyodor.

"And, God loves us equally. Some stuff he gives maybe we don't see it as a blessing. But these blessings in disguise will always lead to happiness. And Dad found that happiness. Without you." Atsushi said before he walked away.

Evening

Fyodor came back from his work late in the evening. 'Such a trouble...' Fyodor thought as he took off his ushanka. Then he walked into the living room but was shocked to see a woman doing embroidery.

"Karenina?" Fyodor called. Anna shivered when she heard the male voice and she turned her head and saw Fyodor. "Are you Lev's ideal student? Man, you haven't changed at all." Anna said.

"How come you are free now? You were closed for over 40 years." Fyodor said. "Well, Lev had side effects from his replacement and decided to get rid of it. And return me." Anna said. "I see," Fyodor said.

"I guess you need to go to your son and talk with him about your past," Anna said.

"Why?" Fyodor asks. "Well, we met your parents in a shopping center," Anna said.

Atsushi's room

Atsushi was sewing on the white tiger plushy. Then the door opened and Fyodor walked close to his son.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Atsushi asks. "Did Maria and Mikhail do something to you?" Fyodor asks with worry. "No, they didn't. They only tried to brainwash me about you." Atsushi said.

Fyodor just sighed with relief.

"I'm so relieved..." Fyodor said. "Dad, why did your parents give up on you? Is it because of your ability?" Atsushi asks.

"Well, there is a lot of stuff. And I, well, I'm a very religious person, Atsushi. So, be heard that God doesn't love me, it's hard..." Fyodor said.

"That's a lie. God loves us. And your ability, that was a blessing in disguise. Same with mine too." Atsushi said. Then Fyodor patted Atsushi's hair.

"Thanks, Atsushi. You are a light in my dark light." Fyodor said. Atsushi only smiled.
