About one year ago, first day of school...
Jennie is walking through the entrance of the school.
In track and field my specialty was short distance running. I was told I wasn't suited for a literary focused school but, as much as I love track and field, I had always longed to go to this school.
Jennie heard a lot of people talking and turn to the side to look. "Huh?"
Fortunately short distance running is an individual event, so I never thought I needed more than my own hard work.
"Good morning!" Lisa said as she waved around to the girls as she walked towards school with Rosie by her side.
"Hm." Jennie turned to look in front of her and continue her way towards the school.
Ever since the entrance ceremony those two had been the center of attention. Sure they were both amazingly pretty, but they had nothing to do with me.
At least...that's what I thought.
Later on in the track field....
It wasn't until that day, the first sports meet after enrollment.
Jennie was out breath as she wiped the sweat from her face as she looked at Lisa who was in the same state as her. "Wow! You're so fast!" Jennie said.
Lisa turned to smile at her. "What do you mean? You had the better time." her breathing was calming down. "First time I've ever lost to someone in running."
Jennie blushed.
I was so surprised! The girl who I thought was just pretty was actually as fast as I was! I was so excited! I was truly glad I had chosen to come to this school.
In Hakuou class....
Getting to compete and train together, that was the perfect high school life I had always imagined.
"Wait, what?" Jennie was shocked at Lisa. "You're not gonna join the track and field club?"
Lisa and Rosie looked at her. "Eh? Ah...ya, that's right." Lisa confirmed.
"But you're so fast!" Jennie argued.
"I'm not really interested though...."
The one blind spot. She wouldn't enter the track and field club no matter what. To be honest, I could never understand why.
Back to the present...
Jennie looked at Lisa as she handed her a form. "Lalisa. I'm sure you will want to join the track and field club soon."
Lisa smiled at Jennie. "You keep saying that...when do you think that's gonna come true? You've been saying that for a year."
Jennie started to get closer to Lisa, who quickly got up and hid behind Rosie who looked a bit startled from Lisa's sudden movement.
"If I keep being persistent eventually you have to give in and join, right?" Jennie said as she peaked behind Rosie to look at Lisa.
"I wish you were more self conscious about how persistent you're being..." Lisa mumbled.
Jennie turned to look at Rosie. "Roseanne, I need you to stop hogging Lalisa and lend her to me."
"Lend her..." Rosie said as she looked at Jennie's closeness.
"Lalisa definitely has talent for track and field." Jennie pointed out. "I know she's good at other things but I really want to run with her." She leaned back as she look at both girl.
