I woke up when the rays of sun hit my face and pulled me out of slumber. I pulled the thick comforters over my face but it is of no use, I was already shaken out of sleep. Throwing away the covers I walked to bathroom and took a bath.

Coming out I was wrapped in my robe and my hair tightly in a towel. My eyes fell on a piece of paper on my dresser as I was plugging in my hair dryer. I plucked it off the table and unfolded it. In a cursive handwriting was written;

I hope you are feeling okay~ Ian.

My heart pounded in the cage of my ribs. Events of last night came crashing back into my mind and Ian's words my wife kept ringing in my ears. He cared for me and most probably it was him who brought me back to my room because I fell asleep in his car last night.

I didn't know what was happening to my body. A hot shiver ran through my spine settling somewhere between my thighs. I clutched my chest with my left hand trying to contemplate what was happening between him and me-

Knock.

Amy walked in with a trolley of food wearing a huge smile on her face, which was borderline teasing. I folded the note and slipped it into the drawer of my jewelry box.

"Morning Mrs. Henderson" she wiggled her eyes brows looking at me.

"Morning Amy are you fine"

"Yes I am perfect but tell me about you. Are you sore or does it hurt anywhere. You are out of work I have noticed so it may have hurt. Do you want me to-"

"Amy, Amy. Stop. What the hell are you blabbering about?"

"Stop hiding. I saw you yesterday coming back home with Ian sir in his arms. And today he explicitly ordered me to make you a breakfast. and he never comes to kitchen. Never" she chirped with the clap of her hands.

"No no no. You are misunderstanding"

"Than what happened because he looked concerned. Really concerned" It was a news to me that he was concerned or worried for me because I could never imagine him getting concerned for me out of all the people in the world. He never even cared about his family. His mother, father or sister. Though they are not good towards me but there is no way they won't care for him.

Maybe they don't trust me with their son's wellbeing.

"Explain me Lilian anticipation is killing me" there was nothing to tell her. I told her about my selection of article, I told her about the creepy dude and then Ian helping me, him getting me into his car, giving me his handkerchief. And when I ended my rant she was smiling ear to ear.

"Oh my God, Lilian" she pulled me in a hug. She squealed loudly in my neck jumping in her position.

"This is so good Lilian. I can't explain it to you but this is so good, even more for Ian sir"

"I hope so"

"Yes yes" I plucked a handful of grapes from the food trolley and stuffed my mouth with them. Her words I don't know how but put me at ease, putting a smile on my face. Her handmade pancakes smelled so good that I began putting them on plate.

"Oh Amy wait" I called her when she was about to go and give me privacy to eat. She turned back to the door and looked at me.

"What happened" I placed the plate of table beside the chair I was sitting on.

"I am going to meet my friends out in a club. Can you help me pick up a dress for me"

"Yes" came her enthusiastic reply and she sprinted off in the direction of my walk in closet which Ian made sure was filled with everything at the time of our marriage. After a minute she came out with her hands full of hangers holding many dresses, which I never got the chance to wear.
