Voltron: Rewritten Reality

Taking Flight

In the Castle of Lions, Yuna is sleeping inside a pod within the Sleep Chamber as her team watches, except for Coran who is at the console.

Kengo: I can't tell if she looks healthy... or not.

Ichika: I think she's breathing weird.

Akito: Oh, come on!

Akito tries tapping on the pod; Dinas stops him.

Dinas: Not yet! A few more ticks.

Akito: How much better do you think she's gonna get in a few more ticks?

Ichika: And what exactly is a tick?

Dinas: You know, a time-slice.

Ryumon: What, like a second?

Dinas: What is a... "second"?

Ichika takes out a clock counting seconds to show Dinas.

Ichika: Like this.

Dinas: I'm not sure. I think ticks are bigger. Coran, do you have a ticker?

Coran: Right here, Dinas.

Coran takes out a ticker counting ticks to compare.

Kengo: I think ticks are a little slower.

Ichika: I can't tell. We have to start them at the same time.

Coran: Okay. Ready, go!

Both counters start together; everyone huddles around to watch.

Kanata: Yes! I think we're winning.

Akito: Winning what? The intergalactic time-measuring competition?

Kengo: Yes.

Unbeknownst to the team, Yuna fell out of the sleep pod and she hit the ground.

Yuna: Ouch... my head...

Kengo: Aw, Yuna, you just ruined it. Uh—Hey, Yuna!

Kengo hugs Yuna and helped her up.

Yuna: What happened?

Dinas: We can tell you all about it while you get something to eat. Are you able to walk?

Yuna: Okay, let's get this over with so that we can leave this planet to defend the universe.

Dinas is shocked that she remembered her duties, as is most of the team.

Ichika: Yep. There she is.

Ryumon: Yep, she's okay.

Akito: Thank goodness.

The team moves to the Dining Hall while Yuna eats food goo with the Altean Mice.

Dinas: She'd be Sendak's prisoner right now, if not for Ichika.

Ichika: Well, you wouldn't have survived the explosion if Kengo and Coran hadn't gotten a new Crystal.

Yuna: Wow. Thanks, guys. Sounds like the mice did more than you, though.

Akito: I punched Sendak!

Kanata: Yeah, apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off.

Akito: We had a bonding moment. I cradled you in my arms!

Yuna: Sorry, but my head feels fuzzy right now. So, what happened to Sendak?

Dinas: He's frozen in a cryo-pod. We're keeping him here in the Castle.

Yuna: Are you sure that's a good idea?

Dinas: He's too dangerous to be set free. Besides, we might be able to get some information about Zarkon from him.
