It was officially prom season..
Kiara and Sarah were over the moon about which dresses they wanted. Sarah was going with Topper and Kiara had yet to find herself a date but she bought a ticket for herself knowing she would go alone or with friends but a piece of her was hoping that her best friend's brother would also be attending.
Rafe was an asshole. Through and through and it wasn't a secret. But what everyone didn't know is that about a year and a half ago him and Kiara had a friends with benefit situation until he started shutting her out and then they ended whatever was going on. But, it was so hard trying to rid those feelings and she wishes that it wasn't.
She quickly got pulled out of her thoughts as Sarah dragged her into a new store, this time for shoes.
"Oh my god Kiara!!!!!" Sarah said a little too excited for Kiara over some proms shoes. Kiara was ready to go home but Sarah wasn't even close to being done.
"Oh boy" Kiara managed to mumble underneath her breath.
She wasn't feeling prom this year as it was her junior prom - and Rafe's senior prom but she didn't even know if he'd be attending or not.
"Sooo, did Rafe find a date for prom, I heard Isla at school say something about being his date" Kiara lied right through her teeth but she would apologize later. Actually, no she wouldn't.
"Ummmmm, no I don't think so. But, I do know that he is gonna be there but only with friends." Sarah says trailing off into the heels section.
3 hours later, Kiara's feet hurt and she just wants to go home and watch her tv show with her ice cream and her pajamas. Oh, that sounded like heaven compared to the hell she's going through right now shopping with Sarah.
"Sarah. Come on, my feet hurt, I'm tired, and I just wanna go home. If you're not out in 15 minutes I'm leaving you" Kiara says aggravated but rightfully so.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." Sarah replies coming out of the dressing room.
"Here. Try these on, they will absolutely go with any dress you pick." She comes out shoving these 4 inch heels that looked like a silver glitter unicorn just threw up on them.
"Kiara pleaseeee. If you try these on we can leave and go home." Sarah says, bribing the girl.
"Whatever." Kiara says just wanting to go home.
Behold, Kiara actually fell in love with the shoes and ended up buying them for $250 dollars. She knew it was a lot but she wanted to impress Rafe on prom night.
Now, all she needed was new makeup, a dress, a hairstyle and jewelry.
Oh boy, this is gonna be hell. Kiara thought to herself.
After waiting for what felt like years to the two girls when in reality, it had been 8 weeks, it was officially prom night and was currently 3:45pm. Sarah and Kiara needed to be out the house for picture's by 6:00pm and at the school by 7:00pm for prom. They had decided together that they would get ready for prom with each other at Sarah's house. Kiara made some lame excuse about her parents working so that see could secretly see Rafe while she was there.
They had started playing their prom playlist and everything was going smooth until Kiara had realized she couldn't find her entire bag of brand new makeup. This makeup was obviously important because it's prom and everything after this just went south.
It all started with the makeup, and she's in a frantic state looking for it and she had checked the entire house and literally everywhere. she was on the verge of a mental breakdown until she realized that she hadn't checked her car. Of course, when she checked her car there it was sitting there in her backseat along with her dress. She had calmed down a little after this.
