Third Pov
"I'll find her,"

"What?" Scarlett looked at her with a mix of shock and confusion.

"I'll find her. Just have your lawyers send me the case files, I'm sure they missed something. You said that they took most of her stuff which means they probably weren't prepared and didn't fully think it through. If that's the case then they probably weren't too careful when it came to security cameras or IDs, so I'd need to get in contact with-," Laura's rambling was cut off by Scarlett engulfing her in a hug.

"Thank you," a warm smile grew on both of their faces.

Scarlett's Pov
I groggily opened my eyes immediately regretting my decision as I was blinded by the bright light. I took a few minutes before slowly opening them again giving myself more time to adjust to the light. I looked over at the clock and saw it was already ten. Thank goodness we don't have to be on set until one. I was momentarily confused why my body felt so tired when the events of last night flashed through my mind. I had another nightmare. I shivered as I recalled the very unpleasant dream, the sounds of my desperate screams after finding out my daughter was gone blasting through my head.

Laura even heard me and had to come wake me up ugh that's embarrassing. Wait, where is Laura? I looked down at my side where she had fallen asleep only to find it empty. I jumped out of bed but immediately sat back down as my vision went black and my head spun. Damn how much did I cry last night?

I walked down the stairs and was immediately met by the smell of pancakes. Walking into the kitchen I saw Laura standing in front of the stove flipping a pancake.

"Morning sleepy head," she smirked.

"Morning," I yawned, walking over and giving her a kiss on the head before taking a seat on one of the bar stools. Folding my arms on top of the counter, I buried my head in them, not ready to be awake.

I heard some shuffling and then a tap on my arm. I took my head out of my arms and saw Laura had set a plate of pancakes and a cup of coffee in front of me. "Dig in," she said cheerfully plopping next to me with a plate of her own.

"I feel like the roles should be reversed," I raised my eyebrow at her.

"You had a rough night, and besides I like cooking," she shrugged. Seriously, this girl is an angel.

We ate in silence just being comfortable in each other's presence. Once we were done eating we cleaned up our dishes. We both went to grab our laptops since Laura has homework and I need to call my lawyers about sending Laura the case file.

We were sitting in the living room with me on the love seat and Laura sprawled out on the couch. We had been working for around 30 minutes when Laura spoke up.

"So where's Rose?" She questioned making me look up from my laptop.

"She's with her dad for the week, she'll be back in a week" I answered.

"Oh, do you think she'll mind me staying here?" I could hear the worry in her voice.

"She'll love you, don't worry. All you have to do is play with her and she'll declare you her new best friend," I chuckled. Rose is definitely a people person.

A few minutes later I got a message from my lawyer saying they were sending everything over to Laura.
"Hey you should be getting the files now," she looked up at me giving me a brief nod.

"Ok I'll look at them once we get back from filming because I know if I look at them before I'll be distracted while we're filming," she explained.
