Third Pov
Scarlett woke up to Laura cuddling her, still dead asleep. Her head was laying on the older woman's chest while her arms were wrapped around her torso holding her close. Carefully she lifted the teen off her body and shuffled off the bed. She silently walked downstairs and began making breakfast for Laura and herself.

Laura woke up and groggily walked downstairs, still trying to comprehend her discovery. She was barely present as she and Scarlett ate. She didn't remember any of Scarlett's attempts of trying to get her to eat or engage in conversation. In the end Scarlett sighed in defeat, putting away Laura's food for if she gets hungry.

"Ok sweetheart I need you to hear me when I say this ok?" Laura gives her a tired nod, her eyes flickering to Scarlett's face. "I called in so you're not going to sit today, but I still have to go in since I have a meeting today," she said slowly while studying her face carefully.

"Ok I'll be fine on my own," Laura said trying to sound confident.

Scarlett could tell there was off about her but decided not to push. She continued getting ready as Laura curled into a ball in her bed subconsciously wanting to be near her. She was slowly piecing everything together in her mind and realizing all the obvious signs. Why she looked nothing like her "mother", why her parents were always acting sketchy and never allowed any pictures of them on the internet, why they never let her see her birth certificate. It was overwhelming the number of signs there were pointing to this very obvious and painful truth.

Even though she wasn't fully there her brain was working at light speed putting together a plan. While Scarlett was at work, she was going to get an uber to the police department to get a DNA test done. She wanted to be positive she had all the proof before she reported her parents to the police, not only for kidnapping but also for child abuse, neglect, and endangerment. She was also trying to figure out how she was going to tell Scarlett the truth. That part she was stuck on.

"Ok sweetheart I've got to get going, promise me you'll call if you need anything," Laura gave her a small smile and nod as Scarlett gently kissed her forehead.

Laura waited about an hour, using this time to eat, shower, and get ready, after Scarlett left before calling an uber. "Where to?" The driver asked.

"Um the police department please," the man gave her a weird look as Laura looked down at her fingers picking at her nails. The drive was spent in an awkward silence as Laura watched through the window just wanting to be back in Scarlett's embrace.

The car pulled to a stop as Laura began to unbuckle her seatbelt. She hopped out of the car after paying the man and walked up the glass doors. The lady at the reception desk gave her a sweat but confused smile as she shyly walked up to the desk. "What can I help you with dear?" She asked.

"I need a DNA test done, please," she answered quickly, trying her best not to sound nervous.

"Why do you need a DNA test?" The lady who Laura saw the name was Sharon by her name plaque.

"I have reason to believe I was kidnapped as a baby, and I would like to have a DNA to prove it." Laura said confidently sensing the lady's disbelief in her story.

Sharon gave her another look before picking up a phone next to her and calling someone. A few moments later a woman came in and Sharon told her to go with her. They walked through the long corridor of hallways and doors before arriving in a small medical type looking room. "Please take a seat and roll up your sleeve," Laura did what she was told and sat in the surprisingly comfortable chair.
