Thank you for your patience! I'm graduating from college this weekend. In the midst of studying for finals, I needed a break from the stress. Although, this ended up being the hardest chapter to write, but had to stick to the pivotal time in my outline. :) Please leave a comment and let me know thoughts, good or bad.

Law School-Hidden Identity

Chapter 12:

Sang-woo stood just behind Geon-woo, looking at everyone. He had already walked into a trap yesterday without even locating Jae. The student competing for an add code--Min-joo, Joon-hwi's body guard--Moo-won; they were also undercover. It all seemed ridiculous to him now. He looked like a complete fool.

Even though the woman seemed to confirm that there were twins, calling Geon-woo the other parasite, Sang-woo couldn't help but wonder if the person he was with last night, was even Jae? Sang-woo questioned himself--Did he go to Joon-hwi's classroom, and interact with the detective he believed he just met this morning? It was all a sting operation from the beginning. It didn't matter, now. He tracked Joon-hwi down. This is what he wanted. He walked into a trap. What their plans with him were; he didn't quite know, and if he could admit it in that moment, he was scared.

Geon-woo broke him from his thoughts. "This must be the woman who raised Joon-hwi?" Geon-woo stared at the strange older woman eyeing him like a vulture as his sore lip smirked.

Joon-hwi's Aunt stepped forward. Her daughter pulled her back, "Mom, let me just get the test done and go home." It was clear; this wasn't her cousin or half-brother or whatever Joon-hwi was to her. The person looked right through her. Regardless of the animosity her mother had for Joon-hwi growing up, he always treated everyone with respect, lowering himself at times when he didn't need to.

Moo-won nodded for Deok-hoo to take the women to the lab. As he escorted them, Joon-hwi's Aunt stopped at Geon-woo's side, "If that brother of yours isn't my husband's child, I'm taking everything he left him- back."

Geon-woo shrugged. He didn't give a shit. Even though this woman seemed to detest his twin, she was nothing in comparison to stored memories he'd yet to uncover. He didn't need to know the fine details to see her as completely laughable. "Do whatever you want. Since he's an attorney, I'm sure he'll know how to handle you."

Part of Geon-woo's response was based on suspicion, too. He wasn't just harboring jealousy and anger. He didn't know if this woman had any knowledge as to how his twin ended up in her home. She could be just as corrupt as the people who put him in the place his mind could not yet accept. She could know the reasons his mind split into how many different souls he couldn't yet count.

"This little freak—" Deok-hoo caught the Aunt's hand, stopping her from slapping this shit out of Geon-woo. Geon-woo didn't step back. He looked over at Moo-won if to ask why would you bring her into this mess? Deok-hoo moved the two women forward and out of the office, as Moo-won gave further instructions—

"Why don't you two take Park Sang-woo into the interrogation room while I have a word with..." Moo-won forced himself to say the name, "Geon-woo."

Min-joo and Tae-pyung looked at each other. They weren't sure they'd be aligned with their line of questions they had for Sang-woo. It was obviously more personal for Min-joo, but just as important for Tae-pyung. He had a protective nature when it came to Geon-woo, having showed him the ropes early on as an undercover cop and being saved by Geon-woo. Tae-pyung gently touched Min-joo's shoulder, "I'll take the lead." She nodded, knowing that was best. Things would get too personal if she handled the interrogation. Tae-pyung politely waved at Sang-woo to come along with him and Min-joo.
