Kirby abruptly woke up from their sleep. They didn't even mean to, they had just... woken up, and all the sleep within them had suddenly disappeared.
Kirby tried to go back to sleep again they really did. After all, it was midnight, and they'll be damned if they do not get a good night rest.
But no matter how much tossing and turning they did, they never went back to sleep.
So, Kirby decided to try to take a walk about Dreamland, only to notice that all the residents of dreamland were awake and dreamless, complaining about how they suddenly couldn't sleep anymore.
Twinkle looked especially panicked, and when her eyes laid on Kirby, she immediately grabbed them and lifted them up.
"Kirby, I think something is wrong with the fountain of dreams..." She muttered, as Kirby nodded in response.
"We need to see." She said, as she quickened her pace, before activating a spell, levitating as stars appeared behind her back, before flying off towards the fountain of dreams.
Once the duo got there, they slowly descended to gauge the situation...
Dedede was swimming in the fountain and the Star Rod was nowhere to be seen.
"Dedede, what is the meaning of this?!" Twinkle exclaimed, her eyes dulled and angry.
"Ehehehe! I broke that Star Rod and gave it to many of my subordinates, that's what!" Dedede responded, continuing to swim about within the fountain.
"You... what?!" Twinkle shouted, taking a few steps backward as she couldn't believe her ears. She then stepped forwards, walking through the pool and glaring at Dedede.
"You destroyed the Star Rod?! People can't dream without it! Bring it back!" She said. Dedede only gave a mocking smirk, paddling away from the woman.
"No can do! That rod ain't going back 'ere!" Dedede smiled. Kirby watched the two argue with a dull look.
"So... this is the events of 'Adventure' and 'Nightmare in Dreamland, huh...?" Kirby muttered to themselves.
"You..." Twinkle muttered annoyed.
"Hey! It's fine!" Kirby said, as Twinkle turned to Kirby.
