Chapter 19: Drugs

It's been almost a month since Emily and Jennifer were in a secret relationship, they always had excuses to share hotel rooms and apparently Elle didn't mind not having to share a room with anyone. They also spent weekends together, sometimes they even traveled to the beach to spend more time alone, in addition to lunches at JJ's office or when they go out to the bar and the two always escape to the bathroom so they can kiss passionately.

That afternoon everyone was distracted talking, they had no cases for a few days which was a very good thing especially after the stress and fatigue that the cases caused. JJ was leaning on Emily's table while they drank coffee, Derek was suggesting that they go out for a drink after work, since they hadn't done it in about two weeks and that it would be nice to drink and dance until late.

— So black cat, are you coming?

— I don't know, are you going Jayje?

Jennifer looked at her and agreed while drinking her coffee, Elle looked at them and remembered a detail that had crossed her mind in recent weeks, she realized that the youngest girl was always receiving specific gifts, she didn't understand why a secret admirer would send cheetos and flowers, but almost every week Garcia announced when these gifts arrived for JJ.

— What about your boyfriend Jareau?

— Will?

— Yes, are you still together?

— No, he's not my type, you know!

Jennifer looked at Emily and blinked with a giggle seeing how Prentiss moved on the chair pressing her thighs hard, she found out how much the teasing game was Emily's favorite. Elle looked at the interaction of the two who seemed not to care and raised an eyebrow wondering about the internal joke between them, until Spencer entered the bullpen accompanied by Penelope.

— I just found out that a new bar has opened!

Penelope said as she approached Derek that she hugged her, while Spencer sat at her desk and moved a rubber band absent-mindedly.

— So we already have a place to go today, baby girl!

Penelope celebrated and everyone started planning on hitchhiking and schedules.

— Emily will take Jayje as usual.

Penelope said, Emily looked at Jennifer and smiled, the youngest always gave an excuse that she wasn't feeling good to go by taxi and Emily offered to take her, as always one more excuse so that the two could leave together without any suspicion.

— You know that Miss Jareau is not careful when it comes to tequila!

— Come on, one girl need some fun!

— I'm sure wine makes you have more fun than tequila!

Another one of her internal jokes, the two laughed while drinking from their coffees, Elle watched her best friend and again started thinking about those jokes and what they meant.

— You can't complain, you know your problem with wine.

Jennifer spoke as she raised her eyebrows in provocation.

— What's her problem with wine?

Penelope questioned.

— You know that when I drink too much, something happens...

Derek looked at her with curiosity.

— What happens?

— My legs open!

She laughed while receiving a pat on JJ's shoulder who laughed along with her, Derek looked at them both while laughing. The team continued to talk until everyone had to go back to work but with everything arranged for them to leave later, Emily would take Penelope and JJ while Derek was going to give a ride to Elle and Spencer. They even tried to invite Hotch but he said he preferred to stay at home and enjoy his time with Hailey and Jack, no one insisted because they knew how much he appreciated the little time he could stay with his family.
