"Is it finally my time?"
***

All I heard when I was walking in the busy and loud corridors of Hogwarts was Yule hall this and Yule hall that and people asking there friends who their going with to the ball.

I don't mean to sound jealous or anything but I get of hearing that when I have absolutely no one to go with. My only friends are Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Lavender, who I wasn't to fond of. Not sure why but she just gave me a bad vibe but she's always been nice to me so I have no complaints but that doesn't mean I can't still feel suspicious.

I was on my way to lunch since I was hungry because I didn't eat anything for breakfast because I don't usually eat breakfast. I'm never hungry then. I found my usual sit never to Hermione and across from Ginny and Lavender. Even though I'm not supposed to sit with Gryffindors but I still do. No one really notices. I forgot to mention. I'm a Hufflepuff.

Everyone at the Gryffindor table looks at me weird like I'm going to bite off there head or something. I'm not like most Slytherins so I don't know why I got sorted into it. My mom told me that it makes since because of my resting bitch face. I also don't let people push me around but a lot of people are like that.

Anyways all that my friends were talking about was the Yule ball as well. Great.

"Who are going with Della?" I snapped out of my thoughts due to Hermione asking me that question.

"I'm not going." I look up to see my friends shocked faces. Was it really that big of a deal? I thought to myself. "What?" I asked them.

"Why aren't you going?" Lavender asked putting down her fork.

"I haven't got anyone to go with. It's weird and embarrassing to go alone." I answered with a shrug. It would also prove how lonely I could be and that I don't belong in the Slytherin house. I thought to myself.

"It's not weird! And totally not embarrassing!" Ginny says to me with an eye roll. I give her a death glare look.

"You're saying that because you actually have a date to go with." I say. "Can we move on to the next conversation?" I added picking up my spoon to eat my food. I'm starving.

Ron's point of view.

"I'm not going to that bloody dance!" I said groaning and getting tired of hearing about everyone's date and the Yule ball.

"Why? Because you don't have a date?" I hear Harry ask next to me. "Exactly." I responded. I shoved more food in my mouth.
"Let's play-"
"Truth or dare!"
Fred and George joined us and sat across from us.

"Can I play?" I heard a squeaky, annoying voice from behind me. Lavender Brown. She was quite annoying.

"Sure!" Harry responded. She sat down next to Fred.

"Alright who wants to go first?"

"I will." We began playing until Lavender asked me.

"Truth or dare. Ron."
"Um... Dare." I say puffing my chest out to seem tough. Don't know if it worked or not.

"Perfect." I heard her whisper under her breath. What have I gotten myself into.
I ask myself.
"I dare you to ask Della to the dance."

Oh god.
"Then leave her in the middle of the dance and never speak to her again." She added.
Then she left.

Don't get me wrong Della is a pretty girl but
she's a Hufflepuff! She's not a Gryffindor. But maybe I could finally get revenge on the Slytherin house. But she didn't do anything wrong. The small voice in my head said. I ignored it and decided to follow through with the plan.

Della's point of view

"Where did Lavender go?" Ginny asked. I haven't even notice her leave. Must be stirring up something. I thought to myself.

"Um Della?" I heard a voice behind me. I turn around and it's no other than Ron Weasley. I thought he hated Slytherins. Why is he talking to me?
"Yes?"
"Uh.." He say scratching the back of neck nervously. I look in the corner of my eye to see Lavender back and with a devilish grin on her face. I turn my full attention back to Ron.

"Do you need something?"
"Will you go to the Yule ball with me?"
When I say I was shocked. I was shocked. You could see it on my face my mouth feel open and my eyes went wide.

"Really?" I asked sounding stupid.

"Yeah. Will you go with me?"
Is it finally my time??
Oh my gosh this is real!!

"Of course I will. I'd love too." I say a big wide grin displaying on my face.

"So I guess you are going?" Lavender asked with the same grin.
"Yep." I say popping the P.

"Della? Can I talk to you in private?" Hermione asked.

"Uh sure!" I replied. She grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the great hall. I know everyone saw that.

"What's up?" I ask once we made it to an empty classroom.

"Don't you think Lavender was acting weird?"

"I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that." I say with a chuckle.
"Do you think she had something to do with Ron asking you to the Dance." She asked.

"Maybe but I finally have someone to go with to the dance!" I say that same big goofy smile back in my face.

"Okay as long as you're happy." Hermione said leave the classroom.

Maybe I should have thought about it before I said yes. I thought to myself.

And that is what she should've done.
