"Was this all just a joke to you?" *** Della's POV: ***
We walked into the great hall which didn't even look like it. The room was gorgeous. There was fake snow and Christmas trees everywhere. Everyone was dancing and laughing with their partners.
"Would you care to dance?" Ron asked me.
"I would love too." I say grabbing his hand and walking to the dance floor with him.
We danced for a few songs before going to the table to get some punch. I noticed Lavender was standing on the other side of the room with a sparkly purple dress that went pass her knees.
She had a mean look on her face like she was jealous of me and Ron. When she noticed I was looking at her she smiled at me and started to walk towards us.
Ron noticed and his face went pale and eyes widened.
"Are you alright, Ron?" I asked before Lavender reached us.
"Um... Yeah." I gave him a confused but was cut off by Lavender.
"Hello you two." She said.
"Hi Lavender. Having fun?" I asked her.
"Yes I am! Has Ron told you yet?" She asked looking at Ron then at me.
"Told me what?" I asked cocking my head to the side a little.
"That this was all fake. I'm surprised he didn't tell you after 2 dances."
What? This can't be right. I thought he liked me. This isn't true.
"What do you mean?" I tried to sort through this. It was all to confusing. I looked at Ron.
His mouth was open but his eyes held guilt in them.
"You remember the day I he asked you to the dance don't you?" I nodded at her.
"Well the same day I dared him to ask you. He was suppose to leave you right after the first dance. I guess he didn't." She said.
I felt tears stinging my eyes. I tried to push them away.
Lavender just laughed at my hurt expression. "You didn't really think he loved you, did you?" I looked at him as Lavender hugged his side.
"Is this true?" He nodded his head at me. I didn't know what to say to him. I looked at the ground tears falling down my face.
