836. We're Home

On the first day of the New Year, Li Lisa had a wonderful dream - something that had not happened for the longest time.

In her dream, as was walking down the street, and from afar she saw Mu Jungkook. He was bathed in the glow of the surrounding lights.

With his back against the lights, she could see that he was holding two babies in his arms and smiling at her tenderly.

She smiled back at him as she ran towards him and threw herself into his arms.

He said: We're home.

They were home, all of them.

They were hers. Even after two lifetimes. They would always be hers.

When she woke up, Mu Jungkook was no longer by her side.

She got up and gave a yawn.

She knew that she was not to wake anyone up on the first day of the Lunar New Year. The surroundings were extremely quiet.

She looked at the time. It was already 10.30 am.

After freshening up, Li Lisa walked out into the courtyard. At once, she saw Mo Shengge in the distance, jumping up and down.

Mo Shengge was accompanied by Mo Rose.

When they saw Li Lisa, the two girls greeted her warmly.

Li Lisa asked them if they had seen Mu Jungkook, since she had seen no sign of the man. After they expressed that they had no idea, Li Lisa did not pursue the matter further.

Mo Shengxing, Mo Shengran, and Mo Shengxiao were all present, the others were also gathered together to celebrate the New Year, but Mu Jungkook and Gu Jimin were nowhere to be seen.

Initially, Li Lisa didn't think too much of it. However, when by dinner time, there was still no sign of them, she had an ominous feeling.

It was the first day of the new year. Did Mu Jungkook and Gu Jimin have to work?

At this thought, Li Lisa couldn't help dialing Mu Jungkook's number.

At this point, the ringing of a cell phone could be
heard coming from outside the front door.

Mu Jungkook and Gu Jimin were finally back. After greeting the elders of the Mo Family, they washed their hands and sat down to eat.

Li Lisa felt like she was burning up inside, however she didn't want to address this in front of the others.

After dinner had ended, Li Lisa dragged Mu Jungkook out of the house and started to question him.

"Where have you been all day?"

Mu Jungkook's eyelids twitched as he tried to appear casual and said, "I was busy with a few things. I left you a note. Didn't you see it?"

"What note?"

Li Lisa did not see it!

Noticing her reaction, Mu Jungkook knew that she must have been thinking negative thoughts.

He patted her head and said, "Don't let your imagination run wild."

Li Lisa grabbed his hand and said threateningly,
"Tell me honestly, what have you been up to?"
