"Okay class, over here," Vlad called out.
Class 1-B had attended orientation with all of the other classes, minus class 1-A. It was all just a regular opening ceremony for the most part. Nezu welcomed the first years, introducing all the homeroom teachers and a few other staff members, and then giving a speech. A very. Long. speech.
Izuku just spoke with the vestiges in his head for the duration of that torture.
Fortunately though, everything after Nezu's speech went rather quickly, with just a few other much shorter speeches from the upperclassmen. Afterwards, Vlad King had taken them to the locker rooms where they were to get changed into PE uniforms and meet him on the field outside.
Once everyone had gathered the Hero began to speak, "Now then, as I said earlier we'll be doing a Quirk assessment test. The Ball Throw, 50m Dash, Grip Strength, Standing Long Jump, Repeated Side Steps, Seated Toe Touch, Sit Ups and a Distance Run. These all tests that I'm sure are most of you have done before."
Receiving nods from most of the students he continued, "Those are the 8 tests you'll be doing today but this time you'll be allowed to use your Quirks to get the best score you can. Now, these tests are just for me to evaluate your physical capabilities and how well you can use your Quirks in different situations. If you can't use your Quirk on a test or you don't do as well as some of your peers, that's fine. UA's job is to teach you how to use your Quirks in different situations and turn you into the next generation of heroes."
"{I thought he'd be more like a drill sergeant or somethin',}" the bald vestige commented.
"{I'm sure he's a big softy,}" Nana said but was met with chuckling from Ryuoya and a sweat drop from Izuku. "{What?}"
'One time Kan took over my physical training when Toshi wasn't available and...' Izuku trailed off and shivered.
"{If Izuku's muscles weren't screaming and could still move, then the boy's workout wasn't over. He can be a real slave driver when he wants,}" Ryuoya laughed.
"Since we're here we'll start with the Ball Throw," Kan said looking at his list before calling out. "Nirengeki Shoda, your up first."
A boy, Shoda, stepped forward, he was a chubby young man of average height and a round face. He had ice-blue hair, wide eyes and small pupils, his eyebrows pointed upwards giving him a sheepish expression.
"You can do whatever you like just stay within the circle and don't worry about damaging the ball, we have more," Vlad instructed as he took a ball out of a basket next to him and handed it to Shoda.
"{Seriously,}" the 2nd user spoke up. "{This is what qualifies as hero potential?}"
"{Oh, well look who decided to chime in,}" En feigned surprise.
"{What, you tellin' me that child's remotely in shape enough to play Hero?!}"
'Alright, calm it salmon head!' Izuku mentally chastised the 2nd. 'Not all heroes have to have a 6 pack. It may have to do with his Quirk.'
