"You son of a bitch!" K'eon snapped as I entered the house. "Don't you dare come into this house, Zahra Bennett!"

"I live here," I argued.

"No, my best friend lives here! My best friend wouldn't go and start a fight that could've gotten herself killed! My best friend wouldn't have gone to jail! My best friend would've told me about her secret boyfriend! I have no fucking clue who you are!"

"I'm still you best friend, K'eon. However, I have a serious headache, so could you please stop shouting?" K'eon grumbled to himself. "K'eon, I fucking love you, you know that? That's why I did the things I did. You were hurt and it killed me to see you so scared and in pain. My brain just went into autopilot and I lost it."

"He could've killed you!"

"And he could've killed you if you didn't say anything!" The house fell silent. "Pact order number seven. I did what needed to be done...and I'm not sorry for it." K'eon let out a sigh and finally walked over to me, embracing me in a tight hug. "I love you, K'eon."

"I love you too, you fucking asshole," K'eon weakly laughed as he cried. K'eon pulled away from me and wiped his eyes. "You look like shit."

"You'd look like shit too if you had to spend time at Cook County," I laughed.

"What did they do to you?"

"You know...prison stuff."

"Ah...prison stuff. Butt stuff?"

"Not that kind of stuff!" I smacked K'eon on the arm. "Though I was completely violated during my cavity search."

"Ugh, how embarrassing."

"I had no choice but to submit, they threatened to make me do it all again the next day and to stick me in solitary. Thought it was best to just get it over with."

"Yeah, but if you would've resisted, you could've prevented your prison beat down and avoided the cavity search."

"Well, I didn't know Boden was actually gonna pull through...thank you, K'eon. I mean it. I know that it wasn't easy for you to come forward, but you saved my ass. Thank you."

"Yeah," K'eon cleared his throat. "Well, you're home, that's all that matters. You must be starving."

"After the breakfast I've had, fuck yeah."

"Cindy brought over some food for me so I wouldn't have to do much for a few days, I'll go warm you up a plate."

"Please let it be meatloaf," I prayed out loud as K'eon made his way to the kitchen.

"It is meatloaf."

"Thank fucking god." I sat down at the dining table and waited patiently. A few minutes later, K'eon returned with a plate, silverware, and a can of Coke. On the plate wasn't just meatloaf, however. It was her famous meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and and a dinner roll. It's official, Cindy is my favorite wife.

"Now, eat and tell me all about you and Brian." K'eon took a seat at the table and smiled.

"There's not much to say really," Informed in between bites.

"How long has it gone on for?"

"Since Wednesday."

"And when did you plan on telling me?"

"We wanted time to enjoy things before everyone knew and began poking fun at it. We were gonna wait a few months. I only told Boden because—"

"BODEN KNEW BEFORE ME?"

"K'eon," I groaned as I grabbed my throbbing head. "I only told him because I felt like he needed to know. As my boss, he needs to be aware in case he feels like it's not a good work environment."
