I wait anxiously in the hall after dance practice.A crowd bustles around me as we wait for the list to come up.The solo list.I've worked so hard since last year to get here and I need to get on this list that's all that matters at this point.My dance teacher walks out of the room with the dreaded paper in her hands she pins the paper on the bulletin board and exits the room.I take a deep breath and hope my names on there.I lean in and.I got it.I got the main solo.I back away with one of the biggest smiles on my face.I grab my backpack off the floor and run back to my apartment.Shit it's getting late and I'm meeting Chad at the OKB party.I change into the costume and spend the rest of my free time doing this complicated makeup routine for the outfit even though I'm just gonna take it off in less than a few hours .I walk down the stairs of my apartment building in my cleopatra costume.Its been 1 and a half years since Woodsboro and Me,Tara Mindy,Chad and Sam now live in New York and attend Blackmore Uni.I order an Uber and finally arrive after maybe an hour thirty.I walk in and see Mindy and Anika sitting on the couch.I wave at them and make my way around the house looking for Chad.I finally spot him messing around with Ethan.I sneak up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist and hug him behind.
Luna-Guess who it is
Chad-Hey!
He turns around and pulls me into a kiss.I smile against his lips and deepen the kiss.He wraps his arms around me and I wrap mine around his neck and pull away from him.
Luna-Guess what?
Chad-You got It?
Luna-I got it!
He picks me up and spins me around.He kisses me once more and people start to stare.
Chad-You know I knew you would get it
Luna-You're just saying that because I'm your girlfriend
Ethan-If I may interrupt Luna I've seen you dance your amazing there's no way you weren't gonna end up on that list
Luna-Thanks Ethan
Chad-See even Ethan Knows now right after we get Ethan to talk to Harry Potter girl we'll celebrate
Luna-We're doing what now?
Chad points to this pretty girl in a short skirt and white button down shirt.
Chad-Ethan needs a certain someone in his life and we're matchmakers
I just stare at the man I love who was acting totally idiotic at the moment
Luna-This is stupid
Chad-I know baby I know but you're not saying no though
Luna-Fine but I'm not watching love you though
I kiss him on the cheek and walk back to Mindy and Anika who look pissed off
Luna-What's wrong
Anika-Ferris Bueller
Mindy shakes her head at the wrong accusation of character.Anika extends her arm and I turn around and see Tara going up the stairs with this guy in undies and a striped shirt.
Luna-Yeah.Hell No
I run back to Chad and Ethan and tap my man on his shoulder
Luna-We got a situation
He follows me back to where Tara is at the stairs with the guy
Luna-Hey Ferris Tara's good down here
Mindy shakes her head again sighing but everyone ignores her
Frankie-Sorry I didn't catch that
Chad-Yeah you did
Tara makes her way down the stairs and now I know there's no way I'm letting her go up there.She's drunk as a hat.
Tara-Hey no Chad,Luna I want to
Frankie-You see guys she wants to.Come on
He starts to drag Tara up the stairs and Chad pulls him back
Chad-Hey why don't you get your fucking hands off of her
Frankie-Get off me...Hey cleopatra why don't you come instead
Chad pins him against the wall threatening him.
Chad-Don't look at her she's not interested
Frankie-She can speak for herself.Cleo!
He lunges at me and Chad pushes him back into the wall
Chad-Don't fucking look at her
Frankie -Get your hands off me!
They start fighting and I help Tara off the stairs
Lana-Are you ok Tare let me see your hands
Tara gives me her hands and they're red and blotchy.Sam comes storming in and she quickly glances at me and Tara
Sam-Hey sorry to interrupt but I'm just gonna taste you in the balls real quick
Frankie-What?
Sam grabs her taser and does exactly what she said she was gonna do.She tases him in the balls
Tara-Sam are you fucking kidding me ?You're stalking me now?
Tara storms off and I run after her leaving the rest of the group.
We end up outside and Tara's not having anything Sam is trying to tell her
Sam-Tara can you stop!
Tara-I cannot believe you did that !You embarrassed me
Sam-That guy was a dick he was gonna take advantage of you
Tara-So!
I stop in my tracks.I love this girl and all but she's getting mad at her sister for no reason at all and it's pissing me off
Tara-If I want to hook up with an asshole that's my decision!It's not about you.I mean your out of my life for 5 years and then you can't leave me alone for 5 minutes
Sam-Because you're not dealing with what happened to us.Have you and Luna even gone to see the counselor once!
Wait back up how did I get called into this conversation I'm about to speak my mind when Chad pulls me back.He just shakes his head and I stand down for now at least
Tara-No I'm not going to
Sam-Why
Tara-Because I'm uninterested in living in the past like you are
Sam-What's that supposed to mean?
Chad-Hey guys come on-
Tara-It means I'm not gonna let something that happened to us for 3 days define the rest of my life
I pat Chad's back in sympathy because he wasn't making things any better.
Sam-So you two are just gonna pretend it never happened
Ok im done with this.I pat Sam on the back pissed off
Luna-If i may interject I have my own ways of dealing with what happened to us.Maybe Tara does too
Tara-Thank You! What are you doing here Sam in New York.I mean you're working two shitty jobs to help with rent or whatever but what's your plan!
Sam looks back and shoots me a look.I mouth a silent apology and step back to where everybody else is
Tara-I know what im gonna do.Because im gonna to keep going to college.Im gonna get my degree and i'm going to live my life.My Life Okay I know.You just followed me here and you won't let me out of your sight.
Sam-I'm just trying to  look out for you
Tara-You can't do it for the rest of my life though.You have to let go eventually
Before Sam can get another word in, this random girl comes in and splashes Cherry Coke on Sam.Sam lunges at her and everybody goes to hold Sam back. I have a different idea.
Random Girl-Murderer!
Sam-What the fuck is wrong with you bitch
I push the girl to the ground and her friends try to help her get up but she's too drunk to.When she finally does I lunge at her more but now I'm being pulled back.
Random Girl-You guys should stay away from her she knows what she did
Sam- I fucking didn't do anything !
I go and lunge at her again but someone is still pulling on me
Luna-Let me go
Chad-Not Happening
I roll my eyes and finally give up.I shoot her the middle finger still.The girl and her group walks away and I storm off in the other direction away from everything.
