I wake up in a stretcher outside right next to the sidewalk.I groan in pain and look over and see Chad,Mindy, and Tara sitting in an ambulance.Anika nowhere to be seen.Last night comes back to me in flashes the last one being Anika falling to her death.I gasp and sit up accidently getting Chad's attention.He rushes over and wipes the tear I didn't even know I let fall.
Luna-She's gone isn't she
Chad-I'm sorry me and Tara couldn't get back in
Luna-I know I'm the one that locked the door
Chad-What!I could've helped you
Luna-Or you could be dead in a body bag.I choose the better scenario.Now roll me over to Mindy and Tara im lonely over here
He rolls his eyes at my solemn joke and rolls me over to the ambulance he was previously sitting in.I reach over at the risk of my own discomfort.I grab Mindy's hand trying so hard not to cry but i fail."I'm so sorry Mindy.I could've tried harder I could've done something I-"Mindy starts to shake her head
Mindy-This wasn't your fault Loon.She should've gone before me on the ladder
Tara-Hey no , both of you stop blaming yourself.None of this was any of you guys fault.It was some punk-ass behind a mask
I wipe the tears off my face and nod but suddenly stop when I see who just ducked under the yellow tape.Chad notices my discomfort and looks over to who i'm staring at.His face erupts in anger as he grabs Ethan and pins him on a cop car
Chad-Where were you huh?
Ethan-What! When?
Chad-Last night!
Ethan-What I had econ! You know this!
The thing is I swear he's never been to Econ.I've been at that dorm I think a thousand times and I've never seen him leave for that stupid class.
Chad-Bullshit man.You disappear and my sister and girlfriend almost gets killed!
Ethan-Dude I was in a study hall with a hundred other people.You can ask any of them
I roll my eyes. Do we know those people?Chad keeps him pinned for a minute but lets him go muttering a "Fuck man" .Ethan takes in the scene around him and looks (in my opinion pretends to look) flabbergasted while Chad sits back down next to me.

Ethan looks sympathetically at Mindy and tries to apologize but Mindy dismisses him just as fast. As she motherfucking should.He tries to defend himself with that lame Econ excuse but None of us really care.Bailey comes out and it hits me like a brick.He lost someone too.Tara excuses herself to I assume to go and console him with Sam.I signal one of the paramedics and im cleared to go.I kiss Chad on the cheek and tell him i'm going back to my place to go and change and shower.He insists on going with me but I refuse.He finally backs down after a minute and grudgingly agrees.I walk back into my apartment and text Chad I got back home safe.I quickly shower and change into a long sleeve and some flare leggings I have.Not the best attire but whatever.I look down at my phone and type in my address on the GPS.I get to the pizzeria 20 minutes later because it was right around the corner.I walk in and see her sitting at a table not that far from the window.She spots me and gets up and I stop in my tracks.No fucking way.
