Chapter 8: Challenge

Sage's POV

(Alarm ringing!)

I suddenly woke up because of Solo's alarm clock. Mine didn't since I've forgotten to charge it last night.

"Solo, turn off you alarm, I'm still sleepy." I uttered while my eyes are half wide open.

"Mmm..." Solo uttered.

Then, I saw him patting his hand near our heads that's leaning on my table as he tries to check for his phone, when suddenly, his hand landed on cheek.

That's when I felt the warmth of his palm as he didn't remove his hand for a while.

After that, I looked at his lips where I remember that unexpected kiss last night.

Then, he started squishing my cheek and teased me.

"Bakit hindi namamatay 'yung alarm ko?" he asked while his eyes are still closes.

"Solo, it's my cheek that you are pressing." I said.

He, then, suddenly opened up his eyes widely and saw me staring at him.

"Hala! Nakatulog pala tayo, Sage! Di tayo nakapag-review masyado!" Solo said as he quickly removed his hand from my cheek and sat up straight.

While as for me, I'm still looking at his lips and I can't stop myself.

"Huy, Sage, ano? Baka bumagsak ka sa exam mo! Bakit nakatulala ka pa dyan?" Solo uttered but I don't know why I'm not answering him.

I just kept on staring at his lips, still.

"Tulog ka pa ba?" Solo asked again and waved his right hand in front of my eyes.

After a while, he teased me again and he shooked my body.

"Sage! Patay ka na ba?" he asked and started fake crying, "Sage wag mo ko iwanan! Huhu!"

"Cut it off!" I exclaimed and stopped him from shaking my body.

"Hehe! Ano? Paano ka niyan mamaya?" Solo asked again.

"It will be our last class later so I still have time to review. You can go back to your house now and call me once you are ready so we can go to the uni together with my car." I answered.

"Sige sige." Solo said and looked at my phone that's on the table.

Then, he initiated charging it for me since he noticed that it is not turned on.

"Thanks." I said and gave him a faint smile.

"May bayad 'to ano. Sige na una na ako, Sage. Takits na lang." Solo said and left my room.

Afterwards, I sighed deeply while looking at the door of my room and kept thinking of what happened last night... where I woke up as I felt that our lips were touching when Solo fell asleep.

"Why am I thinking of it that much? What's happening? Solo is my bestfriend... why would I kiss him back?" I asked my self and softly slapped my lips.

...

(Phone beeping!)

"Tapos na ko, nasa labas na ako ng bahay niyo, Sage. — Solo."

Then, I looked at my window and saw Solo standing outside.

As he saw me in room from where he is standing, he waved and gave me a really bright smile.

So, I gave him a middle finger and shook my head while smirking.
