Sarah and Stacey left the crabs where they were and traveled back to the beginning of the beach and out onto the sand. Sarah stared at the dark blue water, she did not want to go out there again. Sarah knew that there was a good chance whatever had grabbed her was still waiting for her. Stacey was looking scared she was shaking. "Stacey we must cross this water to get you home. We will need to swim fast." Sarah said this calmly so as not to scare Stacey any more than she already was. "I can't, I'll drown." Stacey pleaded. Sarah looked into Stacey's eyes and said, "You won't drown Stacey because I promise I won't let you." Sarah reassured her. Sarah wasn't even going to tell her she had no clue how they were going to get back up the hole once they got back. She would deal with that when the time came she decided. Sarah gets in the water first, gasping as she does, it chills her bones. "Stacey it's cold but you will be ok, come on take my hand," Sarah says. Stacey takes Sarah's hand and gets in the water. "This water is cold," Stacey says. Stacey gets on Sarah's back and they begin to swim back to the labyrinth; from under the dark blue water, glowing yellow eyes start their hunt. Stacey is shivering badly, Sarah can't help but feel sorry for the poor girl. Sarah is swimming as fast as she can when something speeds by underneath them. She is frightened but has to remain calm for Stacey. She carefully pulls a steak knife out of her tool belt and stays swimming at the same pace. Sarah feels another object move past. Ignoring it she continues to swim, about halfway across she can see the entrance to the labyrinth, that's when something latches on her thigh, and Sarah screams out in pain. Stacey has no clue what happened and asks, "Are you okay Sarah, what's wrong-"That's when she notices the water going from blue to red, then they are both dragged underwater.
