Mission Status: Out in the vast expanse of space, the crew of the ship 3-gg-2 have flown through space for approximately three weeks. The leader of this expedition is Captain Coper. With him is his crew, the spunky and young cadet Pappy, and a grumpy navigator, Scortch. Here, they represent their race, the Eggnots, in their mission to explore and study the vast mysteries of space. As well as discover what life might be out there.
Their team name: The Scramble Squad
Three months into the journey, Captain Coper was sitting at the helm of the ship, standing by for any sign of news. For the past few weeks, he sat in an anxious state, waiting for any sign of a new planet. He knew the trip would take some time, and it could be months before their team would find anything, but the wait was taking its toll. "When are we going to sight a planet already?!" An angry-looking Scortch asked as he hopped over to Coper. Flying through space for so long can take its toll and Scortch was out of patience. "We've been out here for so long and we haven't even seen another world." Now both the navigator and the captain sat and stared outside the window into space. Coper replied calmly, "Nobody said searching space would be easy or wouldn't take time." While Coper was calm and Scortch was sour about their situation, young Pappy comes in and is as ecstatic as ever. "What are you talking about Scortch? Space is so much fun! There are lots of stars, debris, and the occasional meteor storm!" Pappy exclaimed excitedly. He was very capable of finding a way to turn any sulky situation cheery, but Scortch wasn't having it. "Pappy, the last meteor storm nearly took out the ship, and it took us days to repair."

The whole crew was now staring outside, watching asteroids float by and stars shining. Scortch sighed. "I just hope something comes up, because..." Before Scortch could rant anymore, the ship's alarm blared.
"WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAOOOOOO" The Eggnots quickly moved into the control room of the ship. Scortch cut the alarm as Coper checked the monitor. "What is it captain?" Pappy asked eagerly. Coper realized, "That's the ship's alert system." Scortch couldn't believe it "There's a planet nearby!" All the crew was overjoyed at the news, and they quickly made plans to land the ship on this new planet.
