After they got back to Haywards where they left the boat John b had ran off. They let him go cause they knew he needed time to himself.
Kie and Savannah went to the wreck since they had a shift. While they were working mike told them about the outdoor movie on figure eight that they did every summer.
Savannah didn't really want to go cause they were just going to play and old movie that no one but the parents would be interested in, but kie said they could've changed it this year.
She knew they didn't but she didn't have anything better to do so she went.
"I'm so glad that they're still doing this. Keep calm. Carry on. Back to OBX life. You know? Aren't you glad I made you come?" Kie said, Savannah hummed "Ecstatic." pope said "My couch was pretty comfy, I'll be honest." JJ said
They sat their chairs up and then kie and Savannah walked away to go get drinks "Hey, uh... can I get four Pepsis, please?" Kie asked the guy behind the counter nodded
"Hey, Kie. Savannah. Hey, what's up? How are you two?" Rafe asked "I'm fine." Kie said Savannah looked at confused, "why are talking to me like I'm not your sister?" She asked
Rafe looked at her a shrugged, "Um... Tell your boy that we know what he did." Rafe said "Sorry, what boy are you talking about?" Kie asked "Uh, he'll know. Bye." Rafe said and walked away
Savannah and kie grabbed the drinks and walked back over to their spot giving pope and JJ their drinks "Just saw my brother, and he said, and I quote, "Tell your boy that we know what he did." What does that mean?" Savannah asked
"Um... Where is he?" JJ asked "Right there." Kie said and pointed to where rafe, topper, and Kielce were, "Great, the whole death squad." Pope said Savannah and kie looked at each other confused
"Don't stare, bro. Just warning you, bro. If they corner me, I'm coming out swinging, okay? Slice and dicin'. I'm on edge right now. If that doesn't work, I got this right here." JJ said and held up his bag
"Yeah, yeah. So, we just gotta stay in the group. They can't get us in the group." Pope said clearly freaking out, "Like a school of fish." JJ said "Stay in the school. Can't leave the school." Pope finished
"I'm sorry, JJ...Please tell me that you did not bring a gun here. JJ, there are kids." Kie said "No! Kie, I didn't bring the gun. Everything's fine, okay?" JJ said
"Well, I don't know about you kie but I definitely believed that." Savannah said sarcastically "Founding principle, you guys. No secrets amongst Pogues. What is Rafe talking about?" kie asked
"Kie, Sav, it might go down tonight." Pope said "What does that mean? "Might go down tonight." What did y'all do?" Kie asked but they ignored her
About an hour into the movie when Savannah realized it was exactly like the thought she looked at kie who looked interested in the movie.
