Chapter 31: Arrival

Finally we arrived about 15 feet away from the estate, kriko put aoi down first. Once aoi was off his back she walked towards me and grabbed the basket. Then kriko put me down slowly, once i was on my feet i felt a little light headed. It felt like i was going in circles. Aoi held my hand as kriko was to busy looking at the estate. After a little i felt much better, kriko was getting excited.

"Wow this place is beautiful, if looks like one of the old houses back in my village when i was a kid. I promised my boy id show him....guess that was a lie"-k

"Sorry to hear that, hes with you. Im sure hes watching"-a

"Hm..im sure, yeah, i hope so. So, you two go on ahead"-k

Suddenly shinobus presence was getting closer, i could feel that she was going to attack. I turned in the direction of the estate and pulled kriko behind me while pulling aoi behind me as well

"Shinobu wait!"

I took deep breaths in and out, my arms fully extended outwards as if she was infront of me. I blinked and when my eyes opened there she was, right infront of me holding the katana in her hand while smiling.

"Y/n...what is the meaning of this"-s

"Shi-shinobu!..um i know its against the demon slayer corps rules but, listen please. But...were baaaack ahaha...ahh"

"Welcome back aoi, i missed you very much, you can head on-"-s

"Ah actually shinobu....is it ok if we bring the girls over here?"-a

"Mmmm? Why"-s

"Well kriko would like to see us all as a family....he...he plans to be killed just after all of this. His last wish is...to see a family for the last time"-a

Shinobu held her katana up and put one finger up to her chin.

"I dont understand, who are you and what are you planning"-s

"Shino-"

"Y/n love, id like to hear it from him"-s

She glared at me while smiling. Her gaze piercing through my skull, i took a step away from kriko and pulled aoi along with me. Shinobu turned to look at kriko as she put her arm down. Kriko looked at her, he took a deep breath in, the tension growing as time passed. Kriko kneeled down and put one hand up as he reached into his pocket, shinobu watched him closely ready to attack if he did anything. He pulled out a picture, then he held both hands up as he showed her the picture

"Im a father-....well....at one point i was. Well..i dont even know anymore. I was a happy person back then, when i was human i always did everything right. I never harmed anyone, i was married and lived a happy life like any other normal human..but then i was turned into a monster. Everything was taken away from me, but my son. My son stayed by my side... he helped me. I have nothing to live for because he was taken away from me. As my last wish, i want to see the glance of a happy family. Or a family that feels comfortable with eachother, as a demon you may not trust me and thats understandable. But as a soul, please... grant me my dying wish"-k

He bowed with his head down to the ground, shinobu was startled. Her eyes shifted to look at me i got nervous and looked away, for some reason i feel like im in deep trouble. As i looked in a different direction i heard footsteps walking away and aoi felt distant. I turned to look and saw she was running towards the estate

"I will grant you your dying wish under one condition. Do not touch them and any malicious intent i sense will resort in you leaving sooner then inteded"-s
