Me and shinobu went back inside the estate. The girls went back to their rooms, shinobu lead the way to her office and i followed behind her. I finally realized she had been wearing her work clothes and not her pjs. We arrived at the office and i saw there was a stack of papers on one of the desks
"Shinobu, why are you still in your work clothes? Have you gotten some sleep at all these past few days?"
She turned her head to look at me
"Partially. You just caught me on a bad day is all, but it...worked out."-s
"If....i can be honest love....i dont really feel like we fixed our previous situation. We may have sort of talked it out but the problem still...kind of stands you know"
"Fine, it does. The talk may have calmed us down but im still upset. You can solve certain situations with communication, but there are something you need to prove with your actions, not your words"-s
I walked up to her, a few inches away from her, not even a foot long. I tilted my head a little, signaling to her that she should keep talking. So she did.
"I just panicked, you always tell me not to worry but its like me telling you not to worry. Its a dangerous job, i know it is but.. but when the kakushi came back with your things and aois my heart skipped a beat. I felt like it was my fault if you two lost your lives, i trust you. But sometimes i feel like... like what i ask from may be too much for you, do you know that?"-s
"What you ask from me isnt a lot. Im sorry, i really am. Ill prove to you that i really can do better. But shinobu, its not your fault if one day i lose my life. I promise you that you can trust me, okay?"
"I do trust you, i guess im not wording this correctly"-s
"I know what you want. I get it, ill do better. Thats all you need to know ok. Which reminds me, i have to keep my promise. How about you go to sleep today and ill handle everything today. The food, clothes, the injured, your work, ill handle it"
"Sure, ill take a shower first and then ill go to sleep. But you know, i know youll do better and youll keep your word. Thats why im not all that bothered anymore. You shouldnt be either"-s
I nodded and gave her a kiss on the cheek, she made her way out of the office. Once she closed the door i sat on the chair, i thought to myself how kriko is doing. I wonder if maybe he got forgiven. I hope he is doing well, but i knew i couldnt mope arohnd all day. I looked at the papers and began reading through them, i gathered the materials i needed and got straight to work.
An hour passed by and i found myself wondering how the girls were doing, by this time shinobu should also be asleep. The sun was coming up as well, i got up to go see how everyone was doing. I walked out of the office and down the hall way to aois room, i opened the door and saw her still asleep on the bed. I closed the door and walked down to the triplets room, they were all sound asleep. I heard someone walking my way, i turned to look who it was and it was kanao.
"Oh hi kanao, up already?"
She simply nodded
"Oh ok, will you be here the whole day or do you have a mission?"
She signaled to me pointing out where the exit is
"Oh so youll be going out on a mission?"
She nodded her head
"Oh nice, well i can make you some breakfast before you leave. I need to do it anyway"
She nodded once more
"Ok ill make you breakfast, were you on your way to tell shinobu youll be leaving soon?"
