TAEHYUNG POV:

FLASHBACK (One Month Ago)

I had just returned from Paris after a long business trip. My head was still cloudy from the flight, and as usual, I needed a drink to calm myself down. I entered a café in Seoul, hoping for some peace before diving back into the chaos of my life.

Beep... Beep... Beep...

My phone buzzed. A call from one of my bodyguards.

Bodyguard: "Sir, we found Ji-hoon. He was about to leave the country. We’re at xxxx street. Please come here."

I didn’t hesitate.

Me: "Okay. Wait for me. Don’t let him leave."

I slammed the phone down and rushed to my car, my anger bubbling. The one who had betrayed me was about to get what he deserved. I sped through the streets of Seoul, the only thought in my mind being how long I’d waited for this moment.

---

I reached xxxx street, and there he was. Without a second thought, I pulled out my gun and shot six bullets straight into his head.

Me (shouting): "Didn’t you know who you were cheating with?"

The sound of his body hitting the ground was all I needed to hear before I turned around and got back in my car. There was no time to waste. I needed to get home fast.

---

As I drove down the street, something—no, someone—caught my eye. A girl stood in the middle of the road. I was speeding, but I slammed on the brakes hard, my anger turning into frustration. I yelled at her, but her beauty stopped me in my tracks. She was... striking, even from a distance. My heart skipped a beat, something unfamiliar twisting inside me. But I couldn’t let that slow me down. I swerved past her and continued to my mansion, the image of her face still fresh in my mind.

---

Once home, I went straight to my study. The calm was short-lived. I needed answers, and my guards knew that when I called, I expected nothing less than total obedience.

I grabbed the phone, dialing their number.

Me: "Did you see that girl in the street earlier?"

They nodded nervously, even though they were miles away.

Me (coldly): "I want everything you can find out about her, now."

There was no room for error. I didn’t care if they had to dig through her past, her future, or her family's deepest secrets. I needed to know everything.

After a few moments, I dismissed them with a harsh command.

Me (sternly): "Now, get out."

I went back to my work, but my mind kept drifting back to her.

Then, there was a knock on the door. My mother entered, holding a piece of paper.

Mom: "Tae, I want to talk to you."

She handed me the paper, and I looked down to see... her picture.

Mom: "Hmm, if we select her as your bride, is it okay? Her father is your appa's best friend."

I glanced at the photo again. The girl from the street.

Me: "I don’t have any problem."

I said it so coldly, but inside, something stirred.

My mom kissed my forehead and left the room. I remained frozen, staring at the paper in my hands.

Me (muttering under my breath): "Kitten, I’m coming for you. And I’ll make sure you learn your place... You’ll get the hardest punishment for cursing a mafia king."

TAEHYUNG'S POV:

Now, a month later, everything fell into place. That girl... Y/N... was going to be mine. I had never imagined that the first time I laid eyes on her, it would feel like this—like she was meant to be mine.

And finally, after everything, she would learn her place at my side. My kitten. No one else could have her. Not after all this.

---

A/N: So, here's the reveal! Taehyung had fallen for her the moment he saw her, even though he may not want to admit it yet. There’s still so much more to come, so stay tuned! 💗☠️
