Author’s POV:

The morning light slipped through the curtains, gently waking you. As you tried to sit up, a strong arm wrapped around your waist pulled you back down. You carefully removed his hand, glancing at his sleeping face. A soft smile crept across your lips; even in sleep, Taehyung looked mesmerizing. You reached out, lightly brushing his lips, taking care not to wake him.

Quietly, you made your way to the bathroom, showered, and dressed in an oversized shirt and shorts. Just a typical morning, you thought, though your heart still raced slightly from his touch.

Taehyung’s POV:

I woke up with a start, my heart pounding from another nightmare—one of the memories that haunted me since childhood.

Flashback (Taehyung, age 16)

“Mom, I’ll be right back!” I’d promised, heading to the park nearby. But I was alone, as usual; most kids avoided me because of my family’s mafia ties. I was sitting on a swing when a little girl with a ponytail and a stuffed rabbit walked over.

“Hi,” she greeted shyly. I looked up, surprised anyone was talking to me.

“Taehyung, meet Cherry,” my mother introduced. “She’s your father’s friend’s daughter.”

Cherry became my only friend. She even gave me the nickname “Tete,” which I loved. But soon, her mother came to take her back to Busan. Cherry held onto me, crying, but her mom pulled her away.

End of Flashback

Years later, I found out Cherry’s real name—Y/N. She was the girl I loved all along, and now she was my wife. Our parents arranged the marriage despite knowing who I’d become. I tried pushing her away, thinking she'd refuse, but she agreed. Maybe she doesn’t remember her "Tete," but I’ll make sure she remembers now.

Y/N’s POV:

After breakfast, Taehyung summoned me to sit across from him. His gaze was intense, and I fidgeted under it.

“Your father asked me to let you assist me at work. Is that something you want?”

“Yes, please!” I burst out, unable to contain my excitement. Realizing I’d interrupted, I quickly apologized, but he didn’t seem to mind.

“Go get ready,” he said, his tone unreadable.

I ran upstairs, then realized I didn’t have any office clothes. Cautiously, I went back to inform him and found him in a heated conversation with someone. When he noticed me, he raised a brow.

“You need something?” he asked, his gaze sharp.

“I—I don’t have an office suit.”

“Check the wardrobe,” he replied simply.

Opening it, I found several sets of office suits waiting for me.

At the Office

The elevator took us up to his floor, a staggering 112 stories high. His cabin was massive, with a view that stretched across the city. He handed me some files and explained the work, and I settled on a nearby sofa to start on the presentation.

After a few hours, I finished the files. Approaching him, I gathered my courage.

“Taehyung, may I go get some coffee?” I asked softly.

He pulled me onto his lap, his grip possessive. “Sure, but remember—no talking to any men. Understood?”

“Yes,” I whispered, and he let me go.

---

At the cafe, a friendly waiter approached. “Hi, Mrs. Kim. What would you like?”

“Just an Americano, please.”

While he prepared my order, we chatted briefly. He seemed genuinely nice, and it felt refreshing to talk to someone casually.

Back in Taehyung’s office, I barely set down my coffee when he twisted my arm behind my back, causing me to yelp as my drink spilled, burning my fingers.

“Didn’t I tell you to stay away from other men?” he snarled, his voice ice-cold.

“T-Taehyung, please. It hurts,” I whimpered, but he only tightened his grip.

“You disobeyed me. How should I punish you?” he growled. Just then, the door opened, and he let me go. I stumbled to the bathroom, hiding my tears as I treated my burn.

Y/N’s POV (Later)

I stepped out of the bathroom and bumped into Jimin, Taehyung’s friend and business partner.

“Y/N, are you alright?” he asked, noticing my hand. His concern was genuine, and I wanted to tell him everything, but before I could, Taehyung appeared, a dark expression on his face.

“We’re going home,” he said, grabbing my arm and leading me out.

Once we were alone, his expression darkened further. “Did you really think you could curse me in front of others without consequences?”

Before I could reply, he dragged me back to the cafe, where the waiter paled at the sight of him. Taehyung seized him by the collar.

“No!” I cried, panic rising as he reached for something in his coat. “Taehyung, don’t!”

His hand met my cheek in a hard slap. The room spun as I staggered back, my face burning from the impact. The last thing I saw was his furious gaze before everything went dark.

One Hour Later

I woke in a dimly lit room, my hands and feet bound. Blood spattered the walls and floor around me. My heart raced as Taehyung stepped forward, holding a leather belt.

“You’re awake, kitten,” he said, his fingers grazing my cheek. “You knew there would be consequences.”

“P-Please,” I choked, trembling.

His eyes narrowed. “How should I punish you?”

Before I could answer, the belt struck my back. I cried out, but he showed no mercy, delivering one stinging lash after another.

Finally, he stopped. I slumped forward, numb with pain, but he wasn’t finished. His hand moved to my coat, pulling it down, leaving my back exposed.

“I need to mark you as mine,” he murmured, and I felt the cold blade of a knife press against my skin. I screamed, begging him to stop, but he continued until he was satisfied.

When he finally stepped back, he held up a mirror, showing the letters “THV” carved into my skin. A twisted smile spread across his face as he clicked a photo. The pain became too much, and I blacked out.

Taehyung’s POV

I didn’t want to hurt her, but she needed to understand that I wouldn’t tolerate disobedience. She was mine, my princess, my everything. No one else could have her, not even in passing conversation.

I carried her back to our room, laying her gently on the bed. After tending to her wounds, I lay down beside her, watching her sleeping face.

“You’re mine, and I’ll love you fiercely,” I whispered. “No one will ever come between us.”
