Bethan's POV

"Bethan... Hello Bethan you there?" My friend Violet kept asking me trying to get my attention. I was zoned couldn't concentrate on anything, I was too busy thinking about Enjolras. Oh how my heart aches for him, I know by the time the battle has ended he will surely be dead. I love him too much to ever be without. He made me promise that I wouldn't die and that I have to carry on with my life and find someone else, But I can't all I want is him, I love him forever and always, we were ment to be together!

"Bethan Colorado! Pay attention this instence!" My grumpy teacher yelled.

"Sorry sir" I looked down at the ground almost crying, my eyes suddenly clicked onto somethig else. The badge ( Don't know what to call it) Enjolras had given me. It was the symbol of the revolution, a smile spread across my lips just thinking about him. I had gotten my friends Violet and Poppy to wear them, but no one else everyone else was too scared that the King would have them killed. Personally I think they are just being silly as if they would come kill a bunch of school children for supporting the revolution. I was lost in my thought until...

Enjolras' POV

I quickly ran to the middle of Paris where General Lamarques funeral march was, and where the revolution will began. My heart pounded against my chest as adrenaline started to fill me. I can't wait for itto begin. I nkow Bethan doesn't believe me but I really am doing the revolution for her, people like Bethan shouldn't be treated the way that they are it is unfair and wrong, everyone should have rights. I really love and I nkow she loves me that's why I ordered her to promise that she would live on, she has to she is so young only 17 and i'm 20 I have seen enough of the world! I have seen how people are treat and what people are really like, and I have met Bethan the love of my life now I am complete, we may only be engaged but all I hve ever needed to know is that she would like to be with me forever. I stood in a line along with most the people of france watching the funeral go by, I had my head lowered in respect. Then we started singing the anthem of the revolution,

"Do you here the people sing, singing the song of angry men. It is the music of the people who will NOT be slaves again! When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums, there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!" It started of quuiet but soon became loud as all the people of France joined in. Me and the rest of L'ABC jumped onto the funeral cart signalling everyone to go to the barricades now. I jumped back off it and started running, we got there really quick and started throwing things out of houses to create the barricades. I looked at the ring on my finger and started thinking of Bethan again,

"I promise we will make it to our wedding day Bethan"

Bethan's POV

I was lost in my thoughts. Until...

"Evryone up now" It was some guards they really were going to kill us, one of them pointed their gun at me and my friends and signalled us to the corner we did as they wanted and huddled together there. "Everyone else out!", I hugged my friends shaking like crazy I can't die I'm too young and I have done anything wrong!

"Alright girls, I see we have a few revolutionaries here"... "Do we?!" We all nodded not being able to say anything we were so frightend.

"Ok then I think we have a problem" I whimpered a bit I know what he is going to do to us.

I love Enjolras but everyone was right I didn't know what I was getting myself into now I'm going to die. At least I am with my friends.
