I find a cage

Overflowing with emotions that you caused
Arguments I never started and heartfelt moments I couldn't share with you
Now you're gone and I'm left with this cage
This cage filled with all my memories of you
And us
This cage of heartache
And sadness
And pain
And pleasure.

Deep within myself
I find a cage
And deep within the cage
I find myself
Loving you instead of loving me
Loving your pain
Loving the neglect
Loving the loneliness.

I cry at the sight of such ugly love.
I cry because it hurts me, still.
There's nothing more painful than loving someone who doesn't deserve your love.
