Its not like blood was the hardest thing to clean out of clothing. Hell, Elizabeth had experience even before marrying Mordecai. Its just...

Did he have to come home so often with blood splattered all over him? He would always claim that he was "careful" but yet he could never be careful enough to just wear a damn apron whenever he needed to do his dirty work?

She had gotten a good routine down from her formative years that seemed to work just fine. Normally, all she would have to do is soak the garments in cold water after splashing a bit of Hydrogen Peroxide onto it, though she was a tad worried at how little there actually was at the shops nowadays. And, on a good day, Mordecai would sometimes be willing to help her scrub some of the dried blood out of them, keeping his grossed out comments to a minimum.

"You're going to have to be a tad more careful next time, dear, "She warned him, holding up the wet dress shirt to inspect it, "I'm running out of peroxide and the store won't get another batch until next month."
"I will keep that in mind." He replied, sipping his tea from his seat.

After rinsing out the sink, Eliza left the white clothes in with some white vinegar to get the tougher stains, putting the rest in a hamper to take out to dry once the rain stopped. She finally had a moment to relax, so she sat down in her seat and picked up her needles.
