Elizabeth followed her frantic husband up the stairs, following him into their room before he turns around and puts his hands on her shoulers.
"Elizabeth i've made a horrible mistake." He groaned, making her heart sink a little bit.
"What? What did you do??"
Mordecai pulls away, turning around and rubbing his temples.
"I trust you remember my two...associates, correct?"
"I do.."
"Well...I may have accidently....invited them to dinner. Tonight."
Elizabeth froze, with his words echoing into her head. For a moment, she was delighted to have company, until she realized she now had to basically double the ammount of food she was making tonight. With only a two-hour notice.
"You're...telling me this, NOW?"
"i know-"
"I HAVE TO COOK MORE FOOD-"
"I know-
"IN TWO HOURS-"
"We're having company?" Lilian's voice chirps from the door, with both of them jerking their heads around to look at her.
