I stand in front of the mirror, admiring myself in my little white lace dress. I'm finally able to ware it, since Kelly gave it to me the first time I came out of the hospital. I was really excited for today, not just for the graduation, but for the date. I was glad Chris was home, we could finally have a real date.
I hear the door open behind and I turn around to see Kelly standing in the door way. She part of the new senior class, so she was graduating next year. But she was coming with me for support.
"You look pretty. I know he's going to love you." She pushes herself off the door frame and comes over to hug me. "They'd be so proud of you, you've been through a lot but that still hasn't slowed you down." I tighten my grip around her.
"I wish they were here, they always looked forward to seeing me in my cap and gown." I can't cry, not now. I have to be strong.
"They're watching you, they're always watching." I let out a small laugh as I pull away to look at her. "You know I love you right, you're my best friend."
"And you're my best friend. Now, we have to go. I have to be in my gown and in line at 11 o'clock. Are we taking your car or my car?" She shakes her head and start to the door.
"Since you have a date later, my car so I can get home." I roll my eyes and followed her out.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the graduating class of 2015" The announcer says, causing all of us to scream and shout, throwing our caps in the air. We did it, we graduated high school.
I stand on the stage, as part of the top 10, and look through he crowd, looking for Chris. Once I find him, I see he's watching me too. I smile at him and he returns it. He starts making his way over to the stage, causing me to walk over to the edge.
"What are you doing?" I ask him, getting down on my knees.
"I'm coming over to talk to you, since I am taking you out to lunch today. Now, if we want to get a good seat, since most people are going out to eat with their graduates, we should go now." He starts walking away, so I find my cap and run down the stage stairs.
Once I hit the ground, I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist and pick my up off the ground. I let out a little squeal and feel the person start walking. "Chris, what are you doing?" I ask, trying to get down.
"Taking you to lunch, what else would I be doing. Now come one, beautiful, we have a date to get to." I let out a sigh and let him carry me to his car.

"Table for two please." Chris asks the waiter.
"Yes, right this way please." We follow him, and I lean over to Chris.
"You know, you don't have to do this. You should be out celebrating with your parents, not taking me to lunch." I whisper to him. He laughs and wraps him arm around my waist.
"But I can do that tonight, my parents are planning a graduation party. You are coming and you can't say no, I won't allow it. As for right now, don't worry how much the food costs, I got paid yesterday and I have money to spend." I blush, causing Chris to smile even more.
"There are times when I wonder why we ended up together, why I put up with you and you taunting." I try to push him away, but his grip is too strong.
"Hey, you wrote the first letter, the love story just flowed onto the pages." He leans over and kisses my cheek.
"How poetic. Now sit." He walks over to my side of the table and pulls out the chair. Right as I was a bout to sit down, she shakes the chair, causing me to squeal again. He laughs and lets me sit down without felling like I'm going to die again. "Not nice, Chris. Not nice."
