Letters from You

"Chris! We're leaving! Come on!" I yell down the hall, grabbing my sunglasses off the dinning room table. I hear footsteps run down the hall.

"I'm coming, I'm coming. I'll meet you in the car, I just need to grab the bag that has our clothes in it. My mom packed some snacks, I know we have some Oreos." Chris says once he enters the kitchen, grabbing the beach bag that his mom prepared. I spent the night at his house, he wanted to watch some movies with me and the time got away from us.

"Okay you two, ware sunscreen and don't stay out too late. You are still going on your date tonight correct?" His mom asks.

"Yes mom, we're still going on the date. As for sunscreen, some of the park is inside, but we will ware it just because. Goodbye." Chris grabs my arm and pulls out the door.

"Goodbye Chris! Goodbye Katharine! Stay safe!" She calls as we run to the car.

"Your mother is wonderful, I love her." I say to Chris as he opens the car door for me.

"She's wonderful until you live with her for 18 years, then she get annoying sometimes. But I love her too." He starts the car and the radio starts playing Bad Blood by Taylor Swift.

"'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood. You know it used to be mad love." I hear him whisper, not wanting me to hear.

"So take a look at what you've done. 'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood. Hey!" Sing with him. He looks over at me, surprised that I'm singing.

"Now we got problems. And I don't think we can solve them."

"You made a really deep cut."

We look at each other. "And, baby, now we got bad blood. Hey!" We say at the same time. He starts laughing so hard, I'm glad we hadn't left the driveway.

"You are so crazy." I say to him as he calms down a little. "Now drive, we have to get there to meet Kelly."

"My lord, you two took forever. You better have not been making out in the car, that's just gross." Kelly says once we walk over to her at the gate.

"Look who's talking, miss 'go spend the night at your boyfriends house so I can make out with my boyfriend on the couch.' Classy." She glares at me and I hear both boys laugh.

"Oh you being all shy is a cover up, you're one of the bravest, outstanding person I've ever meet. You can sure come up with some good come backs." Kelly walks over to me and swings her arm around my neck.

"Yeah, well, I'm only unshy around certain people." I say, ducking away from her arm. She frowns. "Are we going in or not?"

"Ooooooo! There's a death drop slide! Justin, lets go." Kelly grabs him hand and starts dragging him away, leaving us alone.

"So what do you want to do first, I mean if you want to do something. If you just want to sit and enjoy the sun that's fine with me." Chris starts rambling on.

I lean over and kiss his cheek to get him to shut up. "Lets go over to the lazy river and just relax for a while and just talk. Let me just put my stuff down." He smiles. I take off my flip flops and pull my shirt over my head.

"You know, I always thought that you would be undressing in front of me for different reasons." I hear Chris say from behind me. I spin around and slap his arm.

"You perv." I say, throwing my shirt at him. He laughs and wraps his arms around my waist. He nuzzles his face in my neck from behind.

"Aww, you know I was kidding. now come one and lets go to the river." Chris whines. I twist out of his grasp and take off mt shorts so I'm only in my bikini. "You," He pulls me closer, "Look like a goddess."
