As we arrived back at our tiny house in California, a cool breeze filled the air. Cool breezes are rare in California, often we have weather that is hot enough to fry an egg on the ground. The winds of change are blowing I thought to myself, whilst opening the glass doors that provide access to our home.

"Home sweet home" Tyler says, flinging himself onto the couch with an almighty thud, spreading his arms across half the length.

"It's good to be back" I respond, putting my suitcase down and leaping onto Tyler's lap like a dog after a bone. "I had such an amazing time, Tyler. Thanks again" I said.

I really did mean it. Ever since that day in the rain when he took me by the waist and held me tight, my life has changed. An upward adventure with no sign of decline. I look into Tyler's deep blue eyes, running my hands through his hair, kissing him on the forehead. I missed our tiny house. Whatever adventures take place in life I know that we will always have this special place, at least for the foreseeable future. Getting off Tyler's lap, I walk up the stairs and enter the loft we have called our bedroom for several years. Clothes dotted around the floor like landmines, created when we left for our honeymoon in a rush.

"We better get all of this tidied up, Tyler" I say, pointing to the clothes on the floor.

"Sure, I've got to do the rest of the house too so may as well start now" He states in a sarcastic tone.

"Don't take that tone with me, Mr Ringhand" I state, winking at him flirtatiously as I bend over to pick up the t shirt that had been left on the floor.

Hours seem to have passed before the tidying was complete. Exhausted, I sit on the edge of the bed, watching Tyler tidy up the last corner of the tiny house. We put on the television and sit for a couple of hours before the sun begins to set.

"Wylie, lets go near the lake and watch the sun set" Tyler says, nudging me on the shoulder to awaken me from my half-comatose state.

Tyler motions to the heap of clothes on the floor and without saying a word passes them to me. I slowly put on each piece of clothing and stumble out of the door. Slowly coming to, we arrive at the lake. The sun now disappearing beyond the mountain peaks, reflecting off the once crystal clear lake, which now shimmers with a multitude of colours. There is always that one moment in time that describes exactly how you are feeling at that exact moment. The peacefulness of the lake, the reflection of the final moments of light that the sun will produce tonight. As the sun finally gives up its attempt to light the night sky, a silence falls upon the lake.

Tyler lays down beside me on the moist grass, stroking my back as if to suggest that I lay down with him. Putting my head on the grass, I look up into the moon lit night sky. Stars stare back at me, twinkling in the night sky like diamonds in the distance. Dotted around like light bulbs, they appear to watch me lay on the moist grass. I stare back, covering each star up with a fingertip, leaving me with two left. Looking across, the moon the only light source providing life for the sky, I see Tyler doing the same. As he places his final finger into the air, I take his hand and lock it tight with mine. Breathing deeply, we lay on the grass for what seems like an hour, holding hands. The cloudless skies seem to welcome me with open arms, the attraction so strong I sometimes feel myself floating off into their embrace. As I give myself to the attraction, I feel a tugging on my hand which brings me back down to earth.
