Today marks two days since Freya and Sebastian called off the engagement. No one has heard from him since.

No texts, no calls. He's been at work non-stop, not allowing anyone to visit him. Not even his parents.

"You don't have to do this, love" Nico assured, turning to me as the car came to a halt.

Since Sebastian wasn't answering any calls, Mr Reign asked if I would join him and Nico at a business meeting.

Part of me thinks they only want me to be there to keep an eye on me. My father was up and gradually working out again, and things don't stay calm for this long.

"It's fine, let's go" I smiled, spotting Mr Reign waving at us.

We were all greeted by an employee before being escorted up to an office. The head of this company.

He looked around his mid-forties but was in denial of his age. The office reeked of a musky cologne and the table was a mess. Paperwork everywhere.

This raised a few red flags to both the Reigns who exchanged glances. There were three seats, so we sat down, with Nico in the middle.

"Hi, I don't believe we've met. I'm Francis Moore" The man spoke up, extending his hand to me.

I glanced at it, then at his face. He stared dead into my eyes and gave me the creeps. This was a business meeting, act professional.

"Pleasure to meet you" I smiled, politely declining his hand. "I'm Alexandra"

His eyes glanced over to Nico, examining us. My hand. Nico's hand.

"Ah, you're not married. I'd assume you were Dominico's wife if you were sitting in business meetings like this, no?"

Nico tensed beside me, clearing his throat. This was none of Francis' business.

The men began talking business, their voices were so strong and serious. I haven't seen this side of Nico, the businessman. It wasn't far off from his assassin side. I loved that about him. He was true to himself.

Francis' eyes kept burning into me, attempting to make eye contact, trailing lower. I looked at him, knitting my brows slightly.

He smirked when Nico wasn't looking, licking his lips.

This is an important business meeting. I can't interfere with their work and opportunities.

Out of pure instinct, Nico's arm reached over me, holding onto the side of my thigh. Blocking most of me from Francis' ogling eyes.

Mr Reign made eye contact with me, narrowing his eyes. I smiled at him, placing my hand on Nico's bicep.

Nico immediately turned to me, a worried look on his face then glancing down at my hand.

The Reigns immediately snapped their heads at Francis who seemed stunned by this. Unsure of what was happening. He saw me, I never once spoke.

I eyed the vase in front of me, moving myself a bit closer before flicking my hand. This movement alone was quick and had enough force to knock it down.

All eyes were on the shattered vase on the floor. Francis immediately looked at me in shock.

I turned to Nico shrugging, "it slipped"

Who would've thought the gesture Nico did the day we met, would be the same one I did today? To cover up an accident as a signal of my discomfort.

Maybe knocking it over was a bit much, but it was right there. I also wanted to destroy something to stop myself from strangling Francis and his disgusting eyes.
